This place has gone down hill!! Has been our go to Steak place for years and has always been exceptional. Service was always top notch and the Manager Caesar has always gone above and beyond to always make our stay memorable!! Not sure what has happened in the last 6 months but we felt like we were in an episode of the twilight zone!! We went for my Husbands Birthday and from the start something was off. Caesar acted like he had never seen us before and was very standoffish about ordering off the Happy Hour Menu for our 2 young Daughters which we have done many times before. He finally decided to move our table and let us order off the Happy Hour menu but unfortunately the night would continue to get worse. We ordered a couple of Happy Hour Items which were good but then everything would change. We ordered the Wagyu New York Strip for my Husband and me and my son ordered the Surf and Turf Special. My husbands steak came out Well Done when it was supposed to be Medium Rare so we mentioned it to our Waitress and she agreed that it looked like we got someone elses steak and took it back. I guess Caesar was annoyed that we sent food back as he was very cold when he came over and didn't even apologize. My husband actually felt weird sending it back since it was such an issue when we first sat down. In the meantime we were enjoying the Ribeye which was part of the surf and Turf until we tried the Lobster Tails. My son actually needed a steak knife to cut a piece as it was so tough and chewy and my lobster tail actually tasted like ammonia/soap. We attempted to mention it to our Waitress and even asked her to try it. She went and told Caesar and not only didn't he come over to our table but she came back and said we get our seafood fresh every day and there is nothing wrong with it!! To say this was the worst Birthday experience would be an understatement!! We have read some of the recent reviews and were in shock, but after this last experience, I'd have to agree with all the negative reviews. Just came home from an amazing Night at IMC with my fiancée and family. From the time I made the reservation with Jade to us entering the restaurant, meeting the manager, being seated and being served…It’s been nothing but an absolute delight a refreshing pleasure. I have not been to a place in a long while that is so accommodating. Jade gave us a beautiful booth to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. She’s a keeper! The restaurant is stunning NYC like decor with positive and upbeat vibes! Not too loud at all. I live in Huntington and somehow missed out on this place a few times. Some reviews I saw knock the manager as rude..But from Caesar the manager all I got was pleasantry, smiles and excellent service.. he runs the restaurant like a champ. Our server Adriel was superb like a friend or a cousin serving you…he didn’t miss a trick and was giving suggestions and always made sure we were happy. Now the food is the bomb Wednesday and Thursday night They do a $50 for two, porterhouse steak all sliced up (see picture) absolutely delicious melts in your mouth. That’s $25 a person can’t beat that deal! Other nights it is $110. My fiancé had a filet mignon 10 oz and it was very good. Big menu here.. all reasonable pricing esp for the area..(more than fair)May I recommend medium rare plus on the porterhouse for 2, it was divine. The watermelon martini was out of this world! 🍉🍸We had a side of lobster mac & cheese with truffle so gooey and delicious and I have to tell you the slab of bacon, which is like a pork belly melts in your mouth, I almost devoured it myself..a must try! We will be back as everyone here is friendly, upbeat and the atmosphere is beautiful. They were so sweet they came over with a fire sparkler and sang for my fiancé’s birthday (thank you) and a variety of on the house sherbet/gelato. I have been coming to imc with my girlfriend a few years now including probably the past two years or so of birthdays and holidays for her and myself. She also goes to brunch quite often with her friends there. I had a reservation there last night and can say for the first time I was more than disappointed. My girlfriend and I were put at a table five feet away from a huge gathering I assume a birthday party of younger people. Now while there’s nothing wrong with a party I could barely even speak to my girlfriend, hear myself think and have an enjoyable night and I could tell the couple next to me was under the same feeling. The people were boisterous and alittle bit rude for an establishment that I usually think is more upscale and while I don’t expect imc to tell them to lower their voices I would assume it would be more respectful of them to maybe reserve the area for the group and not put small couples of guests literally five feet away from them from the few tables near that area. I’m paying just as much as the next customer and I can say my night was not enjoyable from hearing people yell pretty loud. While the staff is always great and we were greeted with smiles our waiter barely even checked up on us. I know it’s Saturday and was packed but I think we saw him for our order, the food delivery and when he came to ask for dessert. Even my girlfriend said it was odd usually someone comes around to check up on the food and make sure everything was settled. I saw the gentleman refilling my water more than my waiter. On the bright side the food was great and I had no issues with the meals and dessert as well as the drinks. I just think imc should reconsider if there’s going to be a larger party maybe keep them separated from the other patrons in that back area or at least ask them if it’s ok.
