Truly used to love this place, have been for my own birthday, happy hours and several other occasions. The last time I went for a happy hour and had a great time. At the end, the bartender collected our credit cards for payment. After 5 minutes he asked us if we provided 2 credit cards and I responded yes, because we did. He then told me that he could only find 1. After 10 minutes we realized that he had lost my credit card and it was not to be found anywhere. At this point me and my friend started searching as well we were on our hands and knees in the restaurant looking for over 20 minutes. The owner came by he looked as well but never once said anything about the fact that we were on our hands and knees and his restaurant. After this time they just told us that they couldn’t find my card and the owner said oh if we don’t find it by tomorrow you can order a new one. They handed us our check and charged us for our entire meal. The next day I call back to see if they had found it and they said no the manager said he looked as well I told him I understand that mistakes happen I worked in the industry for a long time but the fact that we were on our hands and knees in the restaurant looking for a credit card that was lost by the bartender and nothing on our bill was comped was a bit crazy to me. He agreed and said that he would talk to the owner. I called back again and he told me that he found the card in between a few bottles and that he would talk to the owner after I went down there about giving us some kind of comp. I went down there and got my card talk to him again and he still hasn’t spoken to the owner I have now called back three different times and he told me that he still has no information for me about any sort of comp. I loved this place but the fact that it’s okay to the owner and management to be on our hands and knees looking for a cc that the bartender lost is completely insane to me. Unfortunately...
Read moreThe restaurant was very nice inside and had a lot of seating. The staff was very kind between me waiting for my party and sitting. The waiters was also great and checked on us often. I was here for a work dinner, so we ordered many things to try. To start we ordered a white and red sangira. I only had the red and it was good, but I do prefer mine sweeter than this, as I am not a fan of wine in general. For our tapas I tried the dates, octopus-pulpo, carne skewer, and calamares fritos. The dates were very good, with a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and savory. The octopus was cooked perfectly and seasoned amazingly. The carne skewer was very tender, but I do want to note that the bacon is not crispy, as it is baked on the skewer, which I surprisingly loved. The calamari was also perfectly cooked and came with a great sauce. For my entree, I had the gnocchi. It was also perfectly cooked and the ingredients contrasted each other amazingly. The sauce was very light and creamy, the goat cheese added the perfect creaminess and tang, the mushrooms added some earthy flavors, and the shirtrib added some fat and protein. The dinner portion was large enough for me to take half of it home. For dessert I shared the crepe. If you like sweets and caramel this is perfect for you. It's a crepe filled with dulce de leche with a couple slices of caramelized banana and vanilla ice cream on the side. Overall the food and service was great, so I will be coming again...
Read moreOn a Saturday night, I decided to come here on a whim. Called up to make a reservation and the hostess told me she would have a table for 2 for myself and my partner ready. (I specifically asked her if I was able to get a table for four, because I did not want to be sitting on top of other people, and feeling like they were part of my party) which she agreed. Upon entering the restaurant, the place was crowded and understandably the older gentleman working at the front (not the woman I spoke to) denied us the table of 4. What annoyed me was his abbrassiveness and inability to talk to customers. We decided to stay, and therefore put in a small table that we could barely move our arms. However, the waitress was professional, a sweetheart and made the night more bearable. The food took over 45 minutes, the service was extremely slow and we had dirty plates all over our very tiny table. I could barely move without hitting anything. I ordered the skirt steak which was great, but the rice was too sticky and a mess. The empanadas were just okay, and the patatas bravas was not the original recipe from Spain. It was more like boiled potatoes with sauce, peppers. Ultimately, don’t think because your customers are in their late 20’s they are not going to spend any money and put them in the corner. $200 dollars for mediocre food and poor service, working in the food industry that’s...
