High Street Bagels Sayville — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I made sure to read the reviews first to make sure I wasn't overexaggerating or being biased. However, the other reviews are exactly what I expected. I was waiting in that store for 30 minutes for 2 items. Doesn't sound bad right? Not until other customers complained and were shocked I was there for so long waiting for an order. The staff there are nonexistent. They kept messing up orders, one employee chased down a customer because they accidentally gave them an extra sandwich and the wrong order. It was very unorganized. I wouldn't have gone so hard on this review if 1. They messed up my promotional period for Door Dash by not helping me with me order for someone that only lived 4 minutes away and ordered a breakfast sandwich and pastry and 2. If the woman behind the counter didn't treat me differently then her other encounters with customers (yes I'm talking about the color of my skin and yes, I don't like it either but it happened. The crew is very kind and helpful. Although they are great with customers everyone makes a mistake sometimes especially when it is overwhelming busy. I picked up a delivery order after walking away due the large amount of orders and customers at the moment. A few minutes later came back hoping it was ready and yes it was handed over to me. I went over to the address in a rush because it was already late. Dropped off the order and went on my way. A few moments later the customer calls me stating that everything was incorrect. I assured him that I will go back and get him the order he paid for. Of course it was available since I was given the wrong bag. No blame for anyone as long as I completed the task and the customer received his order. The only thing that I kind of trying to turn into a positive situation is the fact that my rating as a delivery person went down one percentage. I only review places that I've found to be either top notch or the pits. This place is top notch. I eat here at least once a week. I've been hooked since the first time I walked into Sayville's popular breakfast-on-the-go Bagel Express and have never once regretted it. The service is fantastic, friendly, courteous, attentive and consistently of high quality. Bagel Express has a wide range of delicious menu items griddle/grill lunch selections, lunch hero's like eggplant or chicken. I'm usually there in the morning grabbing French toast Bagels and oreo cream cheese-- which (take my word for it) is insanely good! They have an app which males ordering take out or pick up a snap. Expect to spend around $6- $12 on a typical single order which in Sayville is about right. Go once and I guarantee you'll add it to your regular rotation based completely on the mouth-watering fresh eats and exceptionally charming staff. I definitely recommend Bagel Express...
