We just tried Ramen Ramen in Sayville, and it’s officially one of our new favorite spots on Long Island for ramen and Asian fusion food! We ordered for pickup and everything was perfect — piping hot, fresh, and made with top-quality ingredients.
We shared two flavorful ramen bowls, two kinds of bao buns (the chicken teriyaki and bulgogi beef were both incredible), crispy egg rolls, and even some Japanese sodas. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor, and my boyfriend (who is very picky and has very high standards) couldn’t stop raving about it.
The customer service was some of the friendliest we’ve experienced — short wait time after ordering, and when we stepped inside, the atmosphere was bright, clean, and warm. It’s also super convenient, located right on Main Street in the Stop & Shop shopping center in Sayville, with plenty of parking available.
We love that they have late-night hours, making this the perfect Long Island ramen spot for dinner after work, date nights, or a casual hangout with friends. If you’re searching for ramen near me in Suffolk County, a modern Asian fusion restaurant on Long Island, or just a great place to grab authentic ramen bowls, bao buns, or egg rolls in Sayville, this is the place to go.
Highly recommend Ramen Ramen to anyone craving flavorful food and excellent service in the Sayville / South Shore Long...
Read moreDisclaimer: I was eating late and therefore starving, so my review might be a little biased. I will update this review in a future visit… but WOW, why haven’t I tried it sooner? I had the Bulgogi Beef Bao Buns which was the absolutely perfect first bite on an empty stomach. Really loved those. Next came the Pork gyoza which were perfectly crispy on the bottom with fresh, subtle flavor inside… delicious. Last was the shrimp tempura which remained crispy the ride home even anfter having to wait after unpacking groceries… very light and flavorful and they were the perfect ending. For the meal, it was easy to give it five stars since I really enjoyed all three dishes. I gave it five stars for atmosphere and service despite it being primarily a take out restaurant simply because the host was so kind and helpful with the menu. I had a wonderful dinner that cost less than I would’ve expected, and that was so well prepared with thought and care. I’ll definitely go there again.
Update: 5/23/2024 This time I tried the Spicy Pork Bao Bun in addition to the Bulgogi Beef. Once again both were delicious, and the Spicy Pork had just enough heat… not so much to overpower the flavor. The pork was sliced thin and tender. Another wonderful meal. Next time I plan to try the chicken teriyaki bao bun and...
Read moreThe food was... meh. We ordered via door dash and were excited because the reviews were so great. I would suggest sorting the reviews by date. It looks like the company changed hands about 9 - 10 years ago, and my speculation is that the quality went with the old owners.
The fried rice was OK. Not sure why there was at least a tablespoon of oil at the bottom. I ordered the chicken teriyaki as well, and it was bland. It was also not grilled, as most I've had have come.
The dumplings were OK. They had a weird almost gritty texture at the bottom, and the dumpling sauce tasted like malt vinegar.
I tried some of the Ramen, and I swear they just used a pack of Ramen noodles to make it. Not authentic at all. I tried the egg in the Ramen, and it was just a moderately boiled egg. It wasn't for me, but others might like that.
I also tried the shrimp tempura. The sauce they drizzled on top was OK, but the tempura itself was just meh.
Last thing was the edamame... I don't think they know how to make edamame, because the texture was, TERRIBLE, it was unseasoned, and totally not made correctly at all.
Also, there was a spider inside our bag when we opened it, that crawled out and greeted us... not sure if it was from the store or...
