Me and my friend went to king crab yesterday. I’m a huge seafood fan he isn’t of course, because he’s allergic to shellfish , but he does enjoy the fried catfish basket with fries and hush puppies. We came there and ordered what we usually would but this time his food was full of grease . I told the one waitress who is always there and always seems to have an attitude that comes off rude and she proceeded to get the manager . Once the manager approached the table I explained what the issue was and stated I didn’t want money back, as they assume that when there is a complaint and never try to give refunds just $5 off no matter what it is so I know better to just ask for I a fresh basket of fish because usually it is truly enjoyable for my friend. He stated he would make a fresh basket . He takes the basket and goes to the back and is back out to our table in less than 5 minutes and that made us suspicious . My friend noticed that the pieces that came back were the ones he already had the first time and now they were even more grease filled! I called the manager back over and asked if this basket was fresh he said yes . I then proceeded to say “well this loos like the same batch you just took and line you put it back in the oil” , he then stated “it is”, yet he just stated it was a fresh batch! Now he’s trying to go back and forth about it being fried food and that’s how it is . I stated back to him we’ve been here numerous times as we had and that it’s never that greasy . My friend might as well have been drinking oil! He then stated “That’s how fried stuff is it’s gonna drain , you should know better than anyone”. He basically insinuated that since I was an African American female that I should know about fried foods even though he never seen me eat the fried food because I had a food bag and didn’t want to cross contaminate because of the allergy my friend gas! I was immediately appalled, disgusted and just wanted to leave . I’ve never felt more insulted while I’m spending my money ever! I the asked what did he mean by that comment even though I clearly knew what he meant by that and he stated “Like that’s just how fried food is , look at this I’ll give $5 off” I then stated “No, your gonna take every dollar off because we no longer would like to eat here after that insult and I’m ready to leave “ he then walks away with the basket and the rude waitress brings the bill I didn’t want to act out of character and get ignorant with them just because they did with me . I took the receipt to pay for the bag I had already eaten and drinks and wrote on the back of it “You have a predominately black customer pool and to insult me that way was disgusting and very disappointing as I spend a lot of money here . You have to be able to talk to every customer you have of every race and make them feel comfortable not get combative when there is an issue with their food they are paying for ! You should know better “. The waitress came to take the bill and started to read and told me I shouldn’t come back if I had an issue and tried to argue with me I then advised her to get away from me as I didn’t get disrespectful and that I already planned on never coming back! This was my first racial encounter in all my 25 black years and it was very shocking where it happened as I never expected that ! I will NOT BE BACK AND OTHER BLACK PEOPLE SHOULD DO THE SAME AS THE MANAGER SPOKE HIS TRUTH ON HOW HE FEELS ABOUT “OUR KIND”. Below is the waitress I didn’t even get a pic of the food as that’s how mad I was but yeah definitely won’t be at this...

King Crab isn’t just a restaurant to me—it’s where my love for seafood began and a cornerstone of my love story. It was the first place I ever tried seafood, and I instantly fell in love with the bold, fresh flavors.
This restaurant also holds sentimental value as it’s where I had my first date with my now husband. Fast forward two years, I returned, and the food was just as incredible, if not better. The rich flavors and impeccable seasoning were so good that I couldn’t stop savoring every bite.
If you’re contemplating trying seafood or looking for the perfect spot to enjoy it, King Crab should be your top choice. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is excellent, and the food is unmatched.
King Crab has been a significant part of my journey, and I’ll always cherish the memories created here. Highly recommend—and who knows, maybe next time they’ll give me a free pass for all the love I have for this place!
You should try their house special sauce * chef’s kiss*. If you have any dietary restrictions please be sure to...
Read moreIt was my Birthday. My family decided that the "King Crab" restaurant would be a positive experience for me and family.
I found the "King Crab" restaurant to be disappointing and greatly less than what we expected. First of all, I and my family found it to be quite tacky that the waitress brought all of our food wrapped in big plastic bags. When I asked the waitress if she could add or ask the cook if he could add some cajun seasoning to my Shrimp Alfredo pasta dish she stated that they can not do this. When asked if then she could maybe bring a little bit of cajun powder in a small size cup, the waitress refused to accommodate me. My mother ordered a lobster dinner. I will tell you, over 90% of her plate was filled with very greasy sweet potato fries. The Lobster tail itself was less than desirable on account that it was the size of 3 small shrimp.
I do not reccomend going to this restaurant for a positive out to eat dinner experience for...
