I never leave reviews, so that in itself tells a lot. While I am sad Ted's is gone, they were always kinda mid. The Quesadilla Company is far from mid. I've lived in Lockport going on 25 years now and its always refreshing to see a new face pop up and back what they say.
Their food was amazing, I got The Ledger and it was a balanced blend of flavor and textures. It is best when dipped in their Chipotle dip, which from what I can see actually use real Chipotle peppers. It has the perfect consistency, its thick but smooth and creamy. And there is mostly an adequate amount to last the whole meal when used in moderation. (Dont smother it and overpower the flavor melody of the quesadilla)
The Qesadilla was a half folded shell which fell apart less then most I have had. The food was hot, the taste a melody of texture and flavor melding into your tongue. I'm kinda said I dont have more. It was the perfect amounts of cheese and chicken. The veggies were balanced throughout the shell. So you didnt have just a mouth full of veggies one bite or chicken and cheese another.
Experience and care went into crafting these. It it shows both in its presentation and how fast it disappeared. I would not hesitate to order from again. And despite my initial doubts, I am glad to see they are thriving and well.
So keep up the good work and ignore Bob C. they dont seem to know good mom and pop food from the commercial entities slop.
Seriously though, yall's team did an amazing job and I hope they finish the day proud of the hard work and dedication they put it...
Read moreMy wife and I were excited to try this place and couldn’t wait for it to open. Came here on day 2 of them opening and the staff was very pleasant. We came right around 11:30am and they were already super packed. While we thought it took a little bit for our food, it’s expected for being busy and just opening. I got The Leader quesadilla and she got build your own rice bowl with pork, cheese and sour cream. We also got chips with queso. For mine, I thought it was a perfect amount of chicken and really appreciated that it was fully shredded and it went to the edge of the shell. I felt the chicken could have used a bit more seasoning. Chips and queso, I must say those were the best chips/queso I’ve ever had. I’d give my meal 8/10. My wife on the other hand thought the portion ratio for rice & pork lacked. Could have had more rice and DEFINITELY more pork. Rice was a little underdone, hard bits with each bite. Pork lacked flavor too. She would rate her meal 4/10. There should be a a couple signs from above with “order here - kiosk” and the cashier offering to take other people as soon as they have no line. It can be confusing because we thought we could only order from kiosk. Pricing - while I thought the quesadilla was worth the price, she felt $11.99 for the rice bowl was too high for the little portion she received. We did not add anything extra and our total bill was $50. We felt it was a little high. We will be back though to try...
Read moreHoly Queso this place was amazing! Went here for dinner and we're blown away on every detail, from the expedious and friendly service from everyone working, to the portion sizes and flavor of each item ordered! There is an option to order from a kiosk, or from the cashier (who was extremely patient with a whole line of first timers). After ordering you can watch them prepare your food right there on the line! Even the line staff were interactive and friendly!
As for the food review: we ordered a craft your crew steak quesadilla and a rice bowl. The quesadilla was ENOURMOUS! The steak was all the way to the edge of the shell, and there was soooooo much cheese! The additional toppings were definitely worth the cost (besides, nothing in life is free!). The craft your crew rice bowl was also huge (have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!). There was more than enough rice, and it was loaded with toppings as well! See pictures. We will definitely be going back frequently.
A side note to the reviews mentioning price, the overhead of a new business in this economy has got to be astronomical, not too mention the inflation of food costs. Sure it wasn't the "dollar menu," but I've never had fresh food, this delicious, and in this size portion from a random fast food joint.
Wishing the crew the best of luck and can't wait...
