I had terrible experience at this location. I have stayed 3 nights at room 213 and it was the biggest mistake staying there. Faced lot of issues first was the location was under construction so pool was closed and there is lot of noise. Second when we checked in we found bugs and roaches so they changed the room, in the second room there was an awful smell of something which took one night to go away. Upon having conversation with the front desk man he recommended me to check out and go someplace else… how rude of him…There were lot of issues in the room as well like no blow dryer, landline and iron in the room plus elevator was closed because of renovation. Upon asking for extra towels they said no extra towels right now because they are in dryer. Like really… also the trash dump was right in the middle of the parking and it smelled bad everywhere around. Taking the shower was nightmare as the water was not draining because of lots of hair stuck in the tub from the previous guests. When I complained they said there is no maintenance available on sight so they handed me plunger how stupid of them. I book my visit through expedia and select pay at the hotel selection but prior my visit date they have deducted one night stay without notifying me and now I’m trying to talk with expedia they say talk with hotel and hotel said talk with expedia. I mean I’m exhausted.. I would never ever stay at any of there branches and I make sure no one from my family will. Don’t trust the pictures on expedia and site.

This is a dilapidated Best Western. It's really bad don't stay here lol. We only stayed for 2 nights for a wedding so we luckily weren't here long. The front desk sign said it's becoming a Hilton Spark. Everything is falling apart here, the rooms are outdated and kind of gross. The pillows on the bed were half sized?? Like very small pillows, slightly bigger than a half standard pillow. Peeling wallpaper. There was someone staying with 2 big dogs and had them staying out in the hallway, growling at people, barking all night. The outside is horrendous. The workers were mostly nice, and breakfast was the remnants of an okay continental breakfast from the hotel’s nicer days. Overall, could have been much better and the pictures could have been less deceiving with more of an emphasis that it was being worked on. Some of the employees make it a bit better.

July 2023: this hotel was a Best Western Plus. By June 2024 this was no longer a Best Western Plus and is now an independent hotel (Lockport hotel) 2023: Should not be rated a "plus" (Best Western Plus) but it was a good stay for a good price in a good area. Staff - 5/5 Breakfast - 5/5 (well attended/clean/roomy dining area/great choices: omelettes, sausage, potatoes, bread products, hot and cold cereals, fruit, waffles, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea, juice) Amenities - 4/5 (pool area was out of towels and had broken glass on the floor) Room 3.5/5 (large sticky area on the carpet in front of the fridge/smoke alarm 'low battery' started PEEPING every 10 seconds from 2am until check out/air conditioner very noisy - sounds like a pickup truck accelerating at a green light/nice chair in corner of room but no lamp/light nearby)

My sister and I stayed at the Best Western the week of July 9th, 2018. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We checked in on Monday the 9th and we were feeling fine, that night I woke up with a horrible sore / raw throat, fever, cough and a headache. Once we were up and about I notice a very saturated wet spot on the carpet between the bed and the bathroom wall. We let the front desk know and their response was the room upstairs may have left the shower curtain outside of the tub. I knew there was to much water for that to be the reason. They said they would check it out. The next day we woke up to hundreds of ants all over the night stand and in the bed next to the bathroom wall. My sister had several bites on her feet and ankles. We packed up our things and notified the front desk. They said they would move us to another room and they did. They also comped us for the first night. The next night my sister was experiencing a horrible sore throat and cough as well. We checked out on Saturday and headed home feeling miserable. I ended up going to urgent care on Monday because my symptoms had not improved. I had pneumonia and bronchitis. My sister went to her doctor on Tuesday and she had bronchitis. Because the issues had come on so quickly, Doctor felt that we had been exposed to the mold or mildew from the first room we stay in. When I called Best Western to speak with the manager, he was out for the day. I explained what had happened to us to the desk clerk. She proceeded to tell me about allergies and pollen issues going around. Not once did she express any concern as to how we were feeling or what had happened while we were there. I believe the leak had be going on long enough to draw the ants and that mold and mildew had developed. I don't believe the hotel was aware of the leak until we brought it to their attention. I know that what we experienced was from the room that we stayed in for 2 nights and feel that we are entitled to a complete refund of our stay. As of the date of this post we are still dealing with this...

Watch out for Coupon use. My wife called on a Thursday for a reservation on the following Friday night. I overheard the phone conversation, my wife said she had printed off a coupon which stated that the price would be $109. She was told she would be given a rate of $89 for the night. My wife expressed surprise at this. I overheard her say $89 that is excellent- thank you" My wife was also hoping to book for the following Saturday night but was told the hotel was full at this time and to check for cancellations when we arrived. She asked if we would be given the same rate and was told yes. On check in everything went fine the $89 rate was confirmed. Everything went well, had a good night sleep in a typical older Best Western. Woke to find an invoice for $109 plus taxes. I questioned this at the front desk and was told that a mistake was made by the person dealing with the initial telephone enquiry "she was new and inexperienced" I asked why the person at check in also confirmed the lower rate of $89 and was told she had also made a mistake and the person I was speaking with said she would not be able to make changes. I asked when the manager would be available and was told 4pm. I returned to the hotel in the evening to discuss the matter with the manager and was told she would do nothing as that was the rate. I made a comment as to how times have changed that people no longer seem to honour verbal agreements. To me it was not about $20 it was a matter of principle as my word still is valuable to me. We were travelling with a group of other team members and exactly the same thing had happened to them. With the exception of one who was told they would not honour the coupon and he would be charged the full rate of $179. To avoid billing shock I would suggest you get...

Sleeping and eating in a clean environment. Our expectations are low when we try to support what appears to be a local chain. Regretfully, even low expectations were not met.

The exterior of the facility was very unkempt. We weren’t looking for Central Park, but simple details such as mowing, weed-eating, and picking up trash determine one’s initial impression.

Upon check in, we were told there was no t.v.  They offered a discount, though they didn’t say how much. We were fine without the t.v. for a quick overnight stay, but they could have easily called or texted well ahead of time to inform us and allow us to make a choice.

Upon entering at the F entrance, it was clear the area had not been cleaned in some time. The floor was filthy, grass and debris were built up in the corners, the glass appeared to have been cracked or shot, and the odor was unpleasant.

The room was acceptable, keeping in mind we had low  expectations. The noise, on the other hand, was not. We understand management can’t control guest behavior, and by midnight it quieted down.

We woke early to get ready for breakfast and start our trek to Niagara Falls. We were INCREDIBLY disappointed by the food offerings. Everything hot was gone, but I was fine with cereal…until there was no milk…or spoons. My husband overheard one employee ask another, “Did you get milk?” to which he replied, “No.” There was also no coffee. That, like many other aspects of this facility, shows a gross disregard for attention to detail.

I had been contemplating a second night’s stay, but the breakfast situation, compounded with all the other issues, made the inconvenience of packing up and finding a different hotel worth it.

We slept, eventually, but we didn’t eat. We are, at this time, requesting a fifty...
