Panera Bread — Restaurant in Town of Lockport

If I could give one star, I would. I have been waiting on a $57 credit as I received a partial order. I was promised by a manager I would get a refund in 7 business days. No problem I work in customer service, I get it. No big deal. 8 business days go by, no refund. I figure id give them a call. Spoke to a lady this time, she said "yep everything looks good wait a few more days" So I did. No big deal. Still patient. Call back exactly a month later at this point. Speak to rep, told me he would have his manager call me back. Manager calls back named Rob. He took down my credit card information over his cell phone, promised me he would text me a picture of the receipt once it was done even though it was "against" the rules. Never got the receipt of refund, nor did I receive the refund. Spoke to the corporate office, they gave me vouchers but told me I need to speak to the local business to ensure I get my refund. We visited this location last night, and we both ordered the pick two with the green goddess avocado salad and chipotle avocado melt - both items obviously heavy on avocado. After we got our food and also placed a togo order, which we realized they didn’t put any avocado on the sandwich or salad when we went up to the counter to ask and they said they were out. So they just made our order, charged us, but never said they were out. Since all our orders included avocado we talked to General Manager Adam, and he was super accommodating! Honestly, the best customer service I have ever received at that location. He was able substitute the salad and sandwich in our to go order, offered a free pastry, and gift card. Been travelling around the past week in Canada and the USA from Scotland and this is easily the worst restaurant we visited. Order it on a mini tablet at the counter then grab a pager which you take to your table. However they don't seem to work and you have to listen very carefully for your name being shouted to collect your order which seems to be at any one of 2 or 3 places My grilled cheese sandwich was good but my wife's Mac n cheese was over salty. The place was like a morgue with all the staff hiding behind a counter. Zero service as you do everything yourself apart from cook . And the crucial part It is so overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area for what you receive. How it competes in a cut throat industry in the States is a mystery.
