Westchester Italian Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Mamaroneck

I get haircuts right around the corner from this bakery. Every time I go in for a lunch or breakfast sandwich, I’m met with an incredible staff led by a gentleman named E. Super funny and a local that makes you aware of all the great options that Mamaroneck has to offer. I normally get a breakfast sandwich of fried eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, ahi green sauce and pepper-jack cheese. For lunch I tried their turkey club and it perfect. Both pictured. They accept credit cards which is super convenient and have a big offering of lunch buffet options. Local businesses like this one make it worth...

Good bread. Friendly staff. Too bad they have no concept of fair pricing. They charge $6 for an egg and cheese (no meat) on a small wedge vs $4 if you get it on a regular roll???? First of all, 2 eggs is standard on an egg and cheese so they shouldn’t charge more for a second egg. And then to charge another $2 for a different shape of bread is insanity! It’s a bakery!!!!!!!!

And when questioned, they argued. Go visit any other deli in the area. You will be charged $3-$4 for 2 eggs with cheese on whatever size bread you choose.

New owners are nice but...

I came here on a whim and I was so glad that I did. The staff was super nice and made some recommendations. I went with the Italian combo and it did not disappoint. The reviews are spot on about their rolls though, I think that was really the star of the sandwich - light and crusty exterior with a fluffy but just the right amount of chewy interior. They also have hot foods and chip and soda selection. I will definitely go back to try their other...
