Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Town of Mount Pleasant

I had already posted on Yelp about this experience, but was deeply upset by the service received and wanted to leave another review so that people could see.

I went to Cold Stone earlier today with my friend, who is vegan. She saw that they were offering the dairy free chocolate, so we went to Cold Stone. After asking for the dairy free chocolate, she was unsure which chocolate was dairy free, as they were mislabeled(The regular chocolate was labeled as dairy free and vice versa). After asking once again as to whether the chocolate was dairy free or not, the worker got upset saying that we had to get what we ordered, although we had asked and checked multiple times, as to whether the chocolate was dairy free or not. After upsetting my friend, I finally settled on taking the already made ice cream for myself, which I did not even want, and ordered a second dairy free, so we could get what we wanted. The worker made the ice cream and we left paying close to $19 for two ice creams. As someone who previously worked at THIS very Cold Stone, I would have never dealt with a customer this way. Raising your voice and telling a customer that they HAVE to pay for and take the ice cream that they checked with you on multiple times is uncalled for and genuinely rude. Based on this experience and the raised prices from an already expensive ice cream price, I will not be coming back to this Cold Stone, nor will I be recommending this place. Awful. They first rang up $42 dollars for 2 medium size I cream. One medium size cone with two flavors mixed together and one topping. The other medium ice cream cone peanut butter cup perfection no additional toppings just what it comes with .. When I questioned price he tried to tell me what it was. When I still questioned it he rang it up with 2 cones and toppings for both grandchildren finally came to . Came down to 27 dollars. When I said there was only one come and one child with no toppings he called me a liar and said child knew what he got and called him a liar He ended up giving me back another $1.50 saying we were liars. I went to this Cold Stone location and ordered curbside pickup from their website and upon arriving I called the location as instructed and a rude employee answered the phone and stated that they did not offer curbside and that I’d have to come inside to get the order. The issue or reasoning why I couldn’t go inside should not have been questioned especially given the pandemic. With a little bit of back and forth and what felt like me having to persuade the employee on the phone, the employee comes to the door and stands just outside the store holding the bag so I’d have to come and retrieve it.
