I didn’t know that sushi could be so bland. My husband and I came here for date night, and it was. Seeing the menu, the sushi lists had a surprising number of deep fried options (and even a chicken roll?) we shrugged and ordered a total of four rolls — paradise (specialty roll) , Snow White (specialty roll), a Tokyo roll and spicy tuna crunch. The most flavorful of them was the paradise, which may have been because of the deep fried banana in the roll. The spicy tuna crunch, did not crunch nor was spicy, which made us sad. We got a bottle of cold sake — that was good. And it had a large cocktail list, with most around us having drinks rather than food. The service was attentive , though the decor felt.. a bit like a cruise ship that had seen better days. Clean, just a little run down. Also, no music? But loud with conversation. Again, the sake was good, and I think this is a good spot for cocktails. If you are going to get sushi , stick to the specialty rolls.

We had the Gyoza to start. They were good. I really enjoy the sauce they came with. I ordered the general chicken. And my husband ordered the orange chicken. Both of them were very sweet. Both dishes tasted like honey. It was nice you got to pick white or brown rice. They both were good. We also got a volcano roll and that was delicious!!!!! I really enjoyed that. They also have Sappora beer in bottles. Our waiter was quick and attentive. Great location. The restaurant was decorated very well.

Ordered a sushi appetizer, received nigiri. If you’re gonna serve nigiri, say it’s nigiri. And don’t insist you’re right when called and asked if maybe the wrong order was given. There is a clear difference btwn sushi and nigiri. First time ordering, regrettably maybe the last.

Had an excellent dinner at Miyabi last weekend.

We came as a group of 5 and were seated in one of their pod areas, if you will. It felt expansive but cozy, which was really nice.

We shared appetizers like edamame, chicken lettuce wraps, and ribs. Each was delicious (the ribs came as little pieces with a side of incredibly sweet sweet potato).

Our individual meals all got rave reviews. I split four rolls of sushi with another person and thought each one was large, fresh, and well done. There were also creative rolls, like avocado and peanut. Many bites left me mming.

The service was prompt and fun, and when we stayed a long time to just sit and chat no one bothered us.

The sake was... okay.

Miyabi is a bit on the expensive side, but for a nice dinner out it's...

The reason I leave this review is because of the way the delivery person treated me, not once but twice. I have ordered from Miyabi and had a nice experience. This time I met an awful asian man who banged loudly on my door, rang my doorbell 18+ times. I explicitly said “please go to my front door” and he went to my side door. I spent a minute trying to find him by going to my back yard and front yard. When I did finally encounter the man he was rude and shoved my food towards me, but not before saying “God!” like somehow this was my fault. I unfortunately tipped this man as I paid digitally. I’m very disappointed, even though the food was good, the delivery man ruined...
