Hollywood North Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Mount Pleasant

11/1/24 Ordered a slice of pizza and a drink for my son. He wanted a Margherita slice so I asked the older gentleman at the front “can I have a Margherita slice”, he then said “choose a slice” so i asked my son which Margherita slice he wants. The gentleman then said there’s only one type of Margherita. I’m from Howard beach NY and know what a margherita slice look like but I though maybe in sleepy hollow it’s probably different since he asked us to choose from an assortment of slices. We then took the food to the outdoor seating which my wife joined us with two coffees for her and myself. We were then confronted by a woman and the same gentleman stating that we weren’t allowed to sit with outside drinks on their premises and demanded we leave. I explained to the gentleman and woman that we purchased the pizza and drink from you and my son is in the middle of eating and we won’t be leaving until he finishes and it’s just to coffees what’s the big deal. He then explained his whole racist life story which in front of a 8 year old kid is unacceptable! I haven’t felt this way in a while and I’m shocked this type of behavior is still around in 2024. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! Go to the pizza store...

Food was adequate but major problem with service. I've always made it a point to patronize this business when in sleepy hollow, including 2x prior in past month. I went in to get a slice even after already eating at another establishment but after ordering I was chastised by owner for bringing my leftover pizza from Beekman's tavern. it was too the point that he made a vailed threat about other businesses would use a baseball bat on me for doing so. I honestly thought he was kidding until my girlfriend told me she felt he wasn't. The staff, which includes part of his family, looked mortified. Mind you, I am an exceedingly polite person and did nothing to instigate or escalate this, save for bringing my box in. When we were last in we actually did the opposite and brought a box from here to Beekman, with 0 incident. Clearly he had an inferiority complex to their establishment and his demeanor is probably why the place was empty at 6pm on a friday night. As I said, I have always been loyal in my patronage but this has put an end to it. The food is not as good as it once was however even it had not declined it would not be worth that type...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hollywood Pizza, and I must say, it exceeds my expectations. Let's start with the star of the show: the pizza.
