First time visiting Mama Theresa’s Restaurant this evening. We were pleasantly surprised. We walked in it looks like a quick pizza take out joint BUT it’s not. You continue to walk all the way to the back they have a larger dining area with about 10 tables. The decor is warm, updated and to me pretty. The manager owner was very friendly and so was the younger wait staff. We ordered an appetizer of friend ravioli, two personal pizzas (Buffalo chicken, plain cheese) I ordered the Rice Ball, and a Bowl of Cream Of Broccoli Soup. We sat for a few minutes they brought a big basket of FRESH GARLIC KNOTS on the house so good! Marinara was tart, tangy with a Hint of sweetness so good. The knots were fresh the dough my husband and I agree is the best in the area by far. Our personal pizzas showed up next and man these things were BIG not the tiny 8” pizzas you get at other places this was like a small pizza about 12”. My son and husband loved their pizzas! They also liked the fried ravioli but they were kinda the basic fried ravioli. On to my soup. The soup was sooo good and fresh it was like they made the soup just for me. The broccoli was cooked perfect in a nice tasty cream! It was definitely not canned the broccoli was definitely chopped and cooked fresh. I was so surprised. On the menu it states all soups are made fresh daily. So if your a soup nut like me it’s definitely worth trying. The rice ball came out cut in half topped with melted mozzarella and I think ricotta covered in their flavorful marinara. It was delicious. The soup also came with a side of bread which I was too full to eat. We were about to leave it behind until we were all like nope let’s try it and WOW we are that last piece of bread like there was no tomorrow so fresh crisp on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside. Best dough bread around. We get the check $45.00 for all that food and GOOD food!! So happy we went and we will definitely be back again for take out and to dine in their...
Read moreEdit: whoever is working here now has zero concept of what they’re doing. Who ever answered on Feb 1 for dinner service was incredibly rude and unknowledgeable about the menu. We were told that we couldn’t get just the appetizer eggplant and had to get an entire entree. When picking up our food we were told we “just called” so our food wasn’t ready. We were told 15-20 minutes and arrived after 30 minutes. Then after waiting another 10 minutes, our chicken Marsala came with pasta and red sauce. Since when does chicken marsala get served with red sauce? The same guy told us to just ask for it with marsala sauce next time. Sorry but there will not be a next time after this. Such a shame because it really was a great takeout spot. Have gotten take out here 3 times in the last month. Food is always fantastic and lasts me 3 meals on an entree....
Read moreI recently moved to the nieghborhood and went to this pizzaria in hopes to make it my new spot. When I walked in the greeter gave a warm welcome to the person behind me and took his order (it was not busy or crowded btw).. When he finally realized I was there at the register he took my order 2 regular slices and 2 sodas - 9.75 and I left a 3 dollar tip (expecting delicious pizza).
When I got to the car I was so excited to try the pizza I opened the box and picked up the pizza to take a bite (I was starving btw). It was saturated in grease and the entire front of the pizza drooped over while dripping orange grease into the box. It was honestly the worst pizza I ever had.
The reviews are mispeading because it did not add up to what I experienced. 13.75 for 2 greasy soggy...
