Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I recently placed an order online for curbside pickup. There was a ‘promo’ on the app that said 2 minute pickup guarantee or a free pizza.

I was at the location in my car and once I received notification the order was ready, I notified the app I was here and the counter-countdown began. Then about a minute later the counter paused and was marked “Complete” a few seconds later. I thought they possibly gave my order the wrong car so I called the store and let them I haven’t received it.

They delivered the pizza about 10 mins later and I jokingly asked about the 2 minute guarantee. And explained they passed 2 minutes mark and that the timer paused and was marked complete prematurely. The worker said the manager did it and he’ll have him come to me.

The manager was immediately argumentative. He argued how I was lying and that I notified the app before it got out the oven. I also explained that the timer won’t even start the countdown until after notified that the pizza is ready. In addition, showed the banner notification on my phone saying it’s ready, the app and my screenshot with time stamp.

To be honest, I couldn’t see the logic in what he was saying to me. With his logic, people could order a pizza and immediately start the timer before the pizzas done cooking. The 2 minutes would finish before they had time to prep the dough. If this was even possible, everyone would walk with a free pizza with every order.

He then finally admittedly explain the store must pause the timer for curbside or else it will be marked poorly in the system. He’s told he must do that.

He was so ready to argue how wrong I was knowing that’s what their common business practice...

Normally I would have given you all 5 stars But last night changed that . I’ve order from this dominos almost every night for a month now and last night was by far my worst experience the delivery driver apparently called me and the manager ( my phone never rang) I was told my pizza was dropped off ( I’m at a hotel so I figure maybe they left it at the desk) no such luck . I call the store to tell them about my Dilemma and I’m told by the manger that the driver came in to the hotel used the bathroom and left with my pizza ( makes no sense ) but okay that’s fine. I call the store a few mins after they closed and the “manager” was as rude as can be . I understand that the store is closed. I was trying to tell him what his driver told him is incorrect my phone never rang and ask about my refund for my delivery and of my pizza points where going to be put back on my account . The manager then proceeded to tell me no he wasn’t going to listen to what I have to say because he is closed and hung up the phone . So I called back he finally answered my question. I will not lie I was rude the second time I called back 🤷🏽‍♀️ Bad customer service will bring that out of a person. Either who after my question was answered and I got disrespectful the manager of your establishment decided to call my phone back as if he had an issue and wanted to argue but couldn’t stay on the phone for 3 mins after closing time to answer a faithful customers question and listen...

If no stars could be given they would. Upon arrival as the tracker showed my pizza and desert cookies were ready and picked up? The lady the counter though proved that to be untrue saying that they would only be two minute which was definitely more like five. Okay whatever I thought and she gifted us the pizza for free. Now this brought not which would soon abruptly come to an end. I ate a few slices that night and saved the rest for later. Now everyone in my household is black so I think you can understand my surprise when eating a slice that I warmed up tonight I was greeted with a long blonde hair. As disgust overwhelmed I tried to stay calm and call the place. The lady on the phone said she was going to her manager and after hearing that I purchased it last night and didn't happen to eat the hair infested slice then that BECAUSE it wasn't ordered TODAY They couldn't do anything about it. Now to not my surprise this isn't the first time I have found a hair in dominos pizza. Those workers need to wear hair nets to prevent this from happening again. I am very disappointed in dominos and I don't believe I will be purchasing their pizza ever again UNTIL some sort of strict health regulations are put in place. I hope you can learn from your...
