Very bad experience. I have been going to Dairy Queen for years and never had an issue. Today was a completely different story.
Before I ordered i asked if the coupon applied to what I wanted to order and the cashier told me yes it did. I then asked if I was able to use my rewards points with the coupon, she said yes. So I proceeded to order what I wanted, the screen for the customer to see was not working so I was not able to make sure everything came off. The cashier also did not tell me the price she said "put the card in". After I paid, I looked at my receipt, after something that was supposed to cost me $4 ended up costing me $9!
First I told her she forgot to give me my cup for my drink & my dipping sauce. She said she gave it to me but never did. She said I have to pay for another cup & dipping sauce, but I never got my first one!
I also told the cashier that the coupon and rewards points didn't come off, she didn't believe me an insisted that it did. After she had her friend come over to look at the receipt she said my order doesn't apply to the coupon and you can't use a coupon and rewards together. That it why I asked both of those questions before I placed my order! She told me "order something else next time." I told her there will not be a next time, grabbed my things...
Read moreI like this Dairy Queen. When I go to the Dairy Queen, my favorite thing to order is the Chicken Strip Basket combo and blizzards. Dairy Queen is the only place I can get Chicken Tenders because McDonald’s used to have them but they don’t have them anymore after the pandemic started. What I like about this location is the space. The closest location where I used to go often is the Levittown location. It closed last year before the year ended, but I’ll miss that location. Another location where I also enjoyed going was in Huntington. They also closed last year but in July. I was so lucky that I went to the Levittown location before it closed. The first time I went was back in 2019. When I first tried their food, I loved it! The Chicken Strip Basket was the first thing I tried when I went and since I liked it, I kept going when I would go to Levittown. Since there used to be another restaurant in Huntington, I would go once in a while since it’s not close from where I live. I went like 1 to 2 times to Huntington. Since both locations are closed, the only Dairy Queen where I go is the Massapequa location. It’s a half hour from where I live. I go once in a while because since it’s not close to me or if I’m around in the neighborhood, I stop by. I hope they can open more...
Read moreOrdered a Blizzard and a chocolate malt; very simple order. The place was very disorganized and messy. I felt badly for the 2 people stationed at the counter. They were overwhelmed between DoorDash orders, packing orders to go, and taking orders at the counter. I waited between 15-20 minutes as my ice cream sat at the counter for half the time. It was difficult to get their attention as plenty of other customers were having their own issues (wrong orders, not being provided with napkins, utensils, etc.) After waiting for a long time, one of the counter help finally asked me what I was waiting for, but could not find the correct ticket for the counter after I showed her my receipt; to make matters worse they, had no idea what a chocolate malted even looked like. They then had to make a new one as they didn’t know where it was or if it was even a malted. When I finally received it, it was sticky and I needed to clean it myself. I then needed to ask for spoons. The store just seems inundated by inexperienced high school students that don’t understand customer service. When I brought the malted home to my wife, she said it tasted more like a shake with some hard pieces floating at the bottom. Maybe the drive-thru is a better experience, but the inside was a nightmare....
