I got so lucky to be able to participate in two yelp elite events in the same week. On Monday I got to taste food from Street to Table from their new Huntington location and on Friday I got to redeem a meal to try from Just Salad's new Plainview location. When I got in the place looked pretty clean with crisp decor, to symbolize serving up fresh meals and salads. I showed my party pass and was given a sticker and got on line to order.
I got the Buffalo Chicken Salad, my meal came with a drink I chose Pink Lemonade and a cookie as well. The salads are prepared in front of you, it's always nice to be able to see your food being made directly in front of you, it's comforting.
I was given options to go light, heavy or medium on the dressing, I chose heavy give me a thousand extra calories in salad dressing PLEASE!!!
I took my meal to my friend's house and ate it there. The salad was fresh and the lettuce were nice and crispy, the dressing made it a little spicy but not overpowering with the heat. The chicken was moist and grilled. The bread was okay, not all that great but not bad either.
The staff was friendly, very serviceable, they didn't want to take a tip because they're not supposed to be allowed tips but the manager told them they could because as a yelp elite if we are getting the privilege to taste food to review and it's being given to us it's only fair to give a nice tip.
I am not much of a salad person but I would come back to Just Salad, the salads are pay one price if you choose a salad off the menu which makes it a little cheaper than those other places where you build your own salad and end up paying $30 at the end for everything you put in it. I appreciate a pay one price for a salad off the...

I've visited the Just Salad location in Plainview several times, and while the ingredients are generally fresh and the portion sizes fair, the overall experience has been inconsistent at best.
I’ve tried several menu items — the Chicken Caesar, Crispy Chicken Poblano, Parm Crunch, Protein Power, and Honey Crispy Chicken salads, to name a few. The food itself is usually good, though the presentation can be hit or miss. Sometimes it looks great, other times it’s thrown together sloppily.
The service is where things really fall short. There’s one employee in particular who is consistently rude — raising her voice at customers and creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. In terms of accuracy, orders are frequently incorrect, especially when it comes to add-ons. I often pay extra for additional dressing (like smoky poblano ranch), and it’s missing more often than not. For example, today I ordered the Chicken Caesar with an extra dressing and didn’t receive it — again. It’s incredibly frustrating to continually pay for something and not get it.
The store itself is clean and tables are tidy, but the food prep area is often visibly messy, which doesn’t inspire much confidence.
At the end of the day, when your order is wrong this often, you're not really getting what you paid for. I’m willing to give this location another shot or two, but if the accuracy and customer service don’t improve, I’ll likely take my lunch...
Read moreWhat a dishonor to the name of this restaurant! At other Just Salads (in NJ) when you order your food via the app the food is ready when it says it will be ready! I had to wait 30 minutes passed the promised time to get my paid order and that's after I had to say something to the staff. They kept taking care of the line and ignoring online orders despite a staff of 3-4 ppl. I got a lame excuse that the promised time on the app does not reflect the real time in reality, and that they dont have someone filling on-line orders on "Sundays". I've been ordering btw two different locations in NJ for over a year now w NO problems. Then when I got home to dine w the rest of my waiting family (40 minutes late at this point) the bowl was half full with probably half of the macros and protein listed! Get it together guys. Not cool. Need...
