Came here on a Saturday night and sat down at like 645. It was not super busy, but soon to be. Service was terrible. Waiter shows up with 2 menus, one was incomplete (had no wine list on back), and no menu for my kids. One kid is 5, OK, I get that. But the other is 9 and massive. He can read bro.
Food took absolutely forever. The table next to us was their wheelhouse type of a customer (baby boomer aged, typical sheltered Long Island couple) and they were getting course after course brought out to them. While we waited. How dare we bring children we thought? Was that it? My kids are sitting quietly coloring and reading, so I don't know. I didn't feel like I was welcome though, that's for sure.
An hour goes by. Not even an appetizer. Plus my wife asked them to fire the kids stuff with appetizer and just bring it out whenever it's ready. We ask that everywhere we go because my kids eat slow. The request is always followed and easy for the restaurant. Not so for Steve.
She finally gets up and asks the host what's going on. We get a half passed apology.and stuff finally starts coming.
Let me say something good - my wine was served nice.and cold. Which it should be - crisp. Food portions are huge. My kids loved their meals. Each ate everything (they were starving at this point).
Our appetizer showed up with their stuff and our entrees still took a few mins longer than it should have tbh. I think we got our entree like 90 mins after we sat down, (before the rush, it was grandma time still).
I feel like they knew they screwed up and no one cared. They could've sent the manager over with a sincere apology to check on us. "Hey, I'm so sorry guys. Really. We dropped ball." And send out a small dessert on the house. THAT might've made me give it another shot. But nope. Full bill, no apology, nothing. We were there for over 2 hours and had 1 appetizer and entrees.
And they never asked me if I wanted another wine until I was basically done with my entree. Unfortunately, this review won't matter because there will still be a ton of boomers scarfing down their flavorless food like it's got a Michelin Star.
It was pretty bad. We will not...

My mother asked for arrabiato sauce with the cherry peppers in it and he says i'll bring you regular sauce and just put hot pepper (crushed)on it. Then my mother in law wanted a fish dish but didn't want clams in it and the waiter told her just leave it, there's mostly scallops and shrimp. The dish was loaded with clams when it was served. The waiter was not accomodating at all and looked flustered. We all ordered single dishes not family style and no kids meal. My 13 year old son ordered linguine with clam sauce (white) and it was so small. It looked like it was a little bigger than a side dish. Compared to the other pasta dishes on the table which were so much more pasta on the plate. I wouldn't have minded but they charged $26. His dish was so small he was able to finished it when all the other pasta dishes were so large. My 8 year old ordered spaghetti and meatballs and her dish was overloaded with pasta. Then at the end, the owner or manager comes over to say he's running behind schedule and he has irate customers. We were not finished with dessert. My mother was still eating her dessert. I feel that they should have 2.5 hour seatings for bigger parties. Especially if people are ordering appetizers, dinner and dessert. Mothers Day is a special occasion that most families are getting together and want to dine out. As for the food, they have always made good food. I think its a good restaurant but not to go for...

Ordered a dozen baked clams and asked to try the wine . There was no happy hour so i asked to try a sip of the pinot grigio and didn’t care for it so the bartender then pulled out a bottle of chardonnay from the ice and said try this . It was good so i went with that . Bread was fresh baked clams looked delicious but had a funny taste to them almost like blue cheese was on them . They told me it was parmesan cheese mixed in with the bread crumbs then put under the broiler .. Way to strong for my liking would of rather just had more garlic than this strong pungent cheese odor . Needless to say i asked for the check and to my surprise was charged $18 dollars for that glass of chardonnay . What nerve not to tell me …. $12 , or $14 ok but $18!! I felt blindsided and brought it to both the bartenders attention and the older manager who merely shrugged his shoulders and couldn’t have cared less . What a big disappointment for my first experience in a town where restaurants are hurting for customers . Needless to say i won’t be back . This is...
