I work for a local children's home, so with Angelina's being right down the road it has become in some sense a "reward" when the kids get through the week and deserve a special treat. Tonight was one of those nights. When one of my girls got ready to pay for her dessert (a tiramisu that she had been very excited for) she took out her money to count and accidentally dropped some into the tip bucket which was sitting directly beneath her on the counter- Keep in mind that I watched this all happen with my own eyes- and as she fumbled to pick up her wallet and the money that she dropped she pulled out a $20, HER $20, and handed it to a man who then looked at her and asked "did you just take that?". She said no, and tried to explain what happened in her version of broken English and he carried on his way.. But you could feel the tension. You could feel the way he and the rest of the staff looked at us from that point on. I did not feel the need to cause a scene, and I am well aware that accidents happen, but what really killed me is when we got home; That same girl was suddenly not hungry for what she had been craving all week. I sat her down, wondering what was wrong only to find out that not only did she drop the $20 that she was able to retrieve but a $5 and some singles as well but was too embarrassed and ashamed to say anything because she had already been accused of "taking" the $20. This might not seem like a big deal, but it was eye opening to say the least. This little girl lost her money, her appetite and even worse, a piece of her self esteem. I will no longer be going...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. It has been around for quite some time but it took me a while to finally try it. But now i am offically hooked. The food is phenomenal. They offer 2 for $20 large pies sunday through Thursday. I had stopped in there about a year ago to grab a quick slice. I tried the taco slice and thought it was really good , thats when i say the 2 for $20 promotion. My family and i find it easier to order pizza some nights rather then cook but we hadnt in some time because a lot of the pizza places in the beacon / fishkill / cold spring area are way too overpriced and the pizza isnt even that good . Well let me just say Angelinas is worth every penny and more ! The pizza is legitimately the best tasting and best quality pizza around. Then the pricing promotion obviously makes ordering a no brainer. I also went there back in November for my birthday and tried the chicken Francese. Again, easily the best around. The flavor was perfect. The chicken was tender . I cant say enough good things...
Read moreI used to enjoy going to Angelinas on my breaks. Rocky was cool, and the pizza was always delicious. With the new ownership, the restaurant has lost its personal feel, and the pizza was underwhelming, with a very different taste and consistency than all my other times here. They used diced tomato marinara sauce, and the pizza had a very strange taste to it, stale as well. I noticed only cheese and pepperoni. They used to have CBR, BBQ, and more. When I walked in, I noticed the employees/owners slouched around the seats, and I heard them telling customers on the phone they didn’t have certain menu items. It’s unfortunate these new owners display a lack of effort and care, resulting in a disappointing customer experience to what used to be a solid...
