Cold Spring Hotel & Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Philipstown

My wife and I spontaneously decided we needed to get away from everything for a night. All the stress of 2020, ya know. We knew we wanted to go up to the Bear Mountain are but really knew nothing about it. I started to look at hotels in the area and came across the Cold Spring hotel. The reviews were generally good and since it was only one night we called the hotel hoping for an available room. Right from the beginning of the phone call I knew we picked the right spot. Jimmy was funny and extremely accommodating. Letting us know we could check in early if need be, whatever we needed to make our stay good. Our roo. Was super clean and Jimmy's personality and helpfulness was better in person! We ate dinner in front of the hotel al fresco and Jimmy came out and talked with us for about an hour. What a good man and good storyteller! We will be coming back again to stay here and highly recommend a stay here as the hotel is wonderful and the town was pretty amazing too! Would also recommend booking directly with the hotel as Jimmy will give you the best deals! Thank you Jimmy for making our spontaneous trip so wonderful. Can't wait to come back and...

A true home away from home.

My girlfriend and I recently had our first trip to Cold Spring, and decided to stay here due to the convenient location and stellar reviews

Before even entering the premises, Jimmy (our kind and knowledgeable host) and his family warmly welcomed us, making us feel like guests at their home rather than just another place to spend the night.

Jimmy was incredibly helpful in giving us guidance throughout our first time in the beautiful town of Cold Spring, and the room itself was equally clean and cozy, everything once needs in a place like this.

The location is also convenient, as everything from restaurants to hiking and kayaking are all a nice walk away. The food options at the hotel's cafe are also very tasty, made even better by a generous discount for guests

Next time we need a room in Cold Spring, we will not hesitate to contact Jimmy for a place to stay.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Cold Spring Hotel & Cafe! From the moment we arrived, the owner, Jimmy, made us feel completely at home. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, we ended up having the most genuine and heartwarming conversation with him.

We ordered the Chipotle Chicken Panini, and it was phenomenal, perfectly balanced, flavorful, and still light. Highly recommend trying it if you stop by!

What truly made this visit unforgettable was the connection we shared with Jimmy. We come from similar backgrounds, he immediately opened up to us, sharing stories about his life, his family, and his journey. He treated us like family, and it meant so much, especially since it was my first time visiting Cold Spring.

On top of everything, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the service is top-tier. This spot is a true gem, great food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'm so grateful I stopped by, and I'll absolutely be back....
