Just went to the Wendy's in Pittsford, NY on my 30 minute lunch break. I pulled into the drive thru and was the only car. I was greeted "welcome to Wendy's, wait a minute.". I waited 3 minutes and was asked what I wanted. I ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwiches without lettuce and tomato. I waited another 2 minutes without hearing a total for my order and asked if I could drive around. She said yes so I proceeded. I got to the window and my money was taken for my order. I asked for a receipt because I had a feeling that they didn't take off the lettuce and tomato as I requested. I was right. I made them aware of the mistake, and they relayed the message to the guy making sandwiches. They closed the window and I waited another 4 minutes. I WAS THE ONLY CAR IN THE DRIVE THRU. After waiting the 4 minutes they opened the window and told me I had to pull around and I had to wait 6 minutes for chicken. Why wasn't I told this when I ordered? I waited 15 minutes at this point, wasting half of my break I asked for my money back and didn't even want the food. They gave me my money and never even apologized for wasting my break. When I looked in the window they were all just standing around. This place sucks. Not the first time either. This location is close to my job and I love wendys just not this location. Worst I've ever been to. The managers look they don't clean their clothes and they all look like they just rolled out of bed with their shirts untucked. Get your act together because you guys are terrible at a job you get...
Read moreThe good thing about a big chain link Wendy's is that the food is going to be pretty consistent no matter which one you go to, but service is another thing entirely. The people were all quite nice, but holy cow, I have never had such an experience in a "fast food" place. The drive through line was really long, so I went inside to save time, then waited and waited for anyone to show up at the register. There were I think 5 people working, which seems like it would be adequate since it wasn't overly busy, and they were all bustling around, but there didn't seem to be anything getting done. After about 4 minutes someone came to the counter and I was able to place my order, then the counter person went off to make it, leaving no one there. My order turned out to be missing the first item, but there was no one to tell. About 6 minutes went by. An off duty employee waiting for her own food eventually noticed and got someone's attention, but it was not the person who took the order, and the confusion started. People lining up behind me and no one taking orders. Another 6 or 8 minutes later I left with my simple order plus an extra burger due to the confusion (which they said was on the house). As I said, everyone was nice, but nothing was getting done, and I've never, ever seen a counter left utterly unattended for upwards of 10 minutes. Not the way to make food fast. I hope it was...
Read moreEvery tine I go here, I get a weird vibe from the employees. They look at you as if you are an alien being, or a ghost… It seems like this Wendy’s is a portal to a Twin-Peaks-esque alternate reality where nobody is a real person yet everyone is still rude. I realized I was getting sucked into the portal when I glanced at the clock and saw I’d been sitting in the drive-thru line for 10 minutes, waiting just to speak to the person behind the speakerphone (it was not busy by the way). Luckily, I reversed out of the drive through before getting trapped in a time loop and having to spend my whole life there… This place is just unnerving and always an eerily negative atmosphere that should honestly be studied. Get some social scientists on this immediately! I almost want to tell the employees at the window “blink twice if you need help!” This experience happened this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (today). All three days I chose to leave before getting food because the wait was so ridiculously long. Perhaps I am the one to blame! This may be the universe screaming at me to avoid Wendy’s at all costs… Well I’m listening to that voice...
