The Vitamin Shoppe — Local services in Town of Pittsford

Love this store! Worked here for 9.5 years up until a month ago (if you’ve been to this location, more than likely you’ve seen me and/or dealt with me) and even before that, my mom used to frequent this store all the time (she’d been a VShoppe customer since that particular location opened almost 17 years ago)! She absolutely loved it (she’s the one who got me hooked bc she loved the customer service so much and the prices too- unfortunately, she passed back in 2011)!

Now, it may seem I’m biased (I am, I’ll admit it but any of my customers from there know that I say no BS) but I’ve been to other supplement stores and as soon as I walk in, not a glance or friendly “hello” to acknowledge my presence and their manner is that of a zombie. Total turn off. No thank you. Ugh.

I’m no longer an employee (work from home now) but I can’t think of another store I’d rather shop at for my supplements. Great selection of items (if they’re out of something, they’ll do their best to special order it), hours are convenient, and the location is fantastic!

Customer service is top priority and even as an ex employee, I still feel great and comfortable about shopping there and knowing that if I need help with anything, the guys’ll steer me in the right direction. They’re knowledgeable and friendly and I wouldn’t go to anyone else but them! Fantastic people!

Plus, that store has a great selection of beauty products (I LOVE the Giovanni hair care line- works absolute wonders)! All in all, go to this store right now for any and all supplement needs! Also, their PLNT by V products have worked absolute wonders...

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING PROFILED AS A SHOPLIFTER. On 3/24/24 @ 11:30 am I walked into this establishment intent on buying over $500 worth of supplements. I was immediately greeted by a person who asked if I needed help, and I very adamantly indicated that I was good on my own. Upon making that clear, both people behind the counter followed me and pretended to be stocking shelves. I was then asked again, 3 min later, by the other person working there if I needed help. I said no... I am good. 5 min later I was asked again if I needed help. I then said, you asked me 3 times... I am leaving now. Here are the items I was going to buy. Milk Thistle, Vitamin D3, Cinnamon Pills, DHEA, Tribulus terrestris extract, Turmic, Glucosamine, Lions Maine, Cordyceps, and Red Ginsing, Vitamin B12, and L-arginine.

Being a person who wants to find things on their own and not be up-sold by exuberant store clerks doesn't make one a shoplifter. When you a profile a person like myself as one and you make it obvious, you are insulting that person. I am an engineer that has no problems affording these items but I am not a cuck willing to be treated in a disrespectful way and show support for the establishment by spending my hard earned money there.

If you are the manager of this location and you are reading this, I invite you to look over the security footage to see if what I am saying here is accurate. I will never spend...

I spent about $80.00 on 5/29/18 but I left my $5. reward postcard home. On 5/31/18, I brought my receipt along with my $5 reward postcard and asked the store clerk to credit my charge card towards this prior purchase. The clerk refused because he said its against store policy. I would have to bring the merchandise to the store with the receipt to get a refund and then he still wouldn't be able to use my reward card towards repurchasing this particular merchandise because I had just returned it. I would have to buy new merchandise in order to use this reward card and the post card expires 6/15/18. O.K., so this clerk saved the store $5. from preventing me from cashing in my reward card but I will never return again! I was there for over a half hour cause this clerk kept helping other customers who came in after me. I can buy this merchandise on Amazon at a better price with better service. I won't have to deal with an unhelpful clerk, waiting in line cause the clerk is helping others, and not finding what I need cause they are so slow restocking...
