I've actually been to the Tai Chi Bubble Tea in Henrietta as well and I prefer the atmosphere at this location. Just the decor and setup feels more comfortable to me. Both locations have large parking lots, and are fairly easy to find.
The staff are always nice here, I'm not really one for chatting but there's always pleasant small talk over this or that when there's not a rush. There's plenty of seating, and even outdoor seating too. There's different types of chairs, booths, and couches available inside, and they have their own board games and Jenga sets for the kiddos available.
This is definitely a good place to come hang out with friends, or even go for lunch and do some remote work (as long as you aren't distracted by people talking around you.)
I've tried a few different types of boba teas, as well as a couple of both their rice bowls and ramen. Everything I've eaten has been really delicious, and if you get them to go they put the broth in a separate container than the noodles so they don't get soggy if you're eating it the next day. They also give quite a bit of food, I have a small stomach but it's about 2 meals per item for me.
Highly recommend the mochi ice cream, if you don't know what to get they have a 6 pack with one of each flavor (at least at the time I'm typing this...
Read moreThey had about 18 working but no one up front to greet you, let you know where to sit, or to sit anywhere or give any help with how to order.
Ordering is confusing you grab a menu and check boxes of what you want. Thats the gist of it but there are no details if you get confused. For instance, step 1 is to choose a rice bowl, burrito, or salad, but wheres the ramen bowl? They advertise this in the sign out front. What is a green base? If i order a rice bowl but then check a green base isnt that then a salad?
There is no sushi on the menu so what do i do if i want sushi? There was a handwritten note by the register that said have your sushi order ready before you get in line, but theres nowhere to fill out an order! I guess you have to sit at the bar. Again, no one around to explain or help you out.
You flip the menu over for the drink options but again not everything is listed there, so you have to get in line but they want you to have your order ready before you do.
We walked out. The ridge road location is easier and they are more friendly/want to serve you. This place was one step away from having to know a password to get through the door.
The ratio of staff to customers was about 4:1 so if this is what it is during their "grand" opening i doubt they'll...
Read moreDrove 20mins to get my pick up order. Got home and checked my salmon rice bowl, no salmon, like 2 slivers of avocado, and the tiniest teaspoon of cream cheese. I don’t know if they’re out of stock of items or what. This whole pick up ordeal turned into a 2hr affair. I had to drive all the way back to get it fixed only to be told that the avocado and cream cheese is supposed to be like that then she put some salmon In the box and I was on my way. I have been eating at tachi for over 5 years! I can tell you I have never had a box this bad, there was nothing in it. It was such a scam. I never go to this location and I do not recommend it to anyone. Go to another one, the one in college town near UofR was the one I usually go to. But if this is the case with the boxes feeling like a scam, I don’t think I will be going to Taichi at all anymore and might switch to crave.
Edit: also, when I walked in the staff were facing me and saw me at the counter. They turned around and continued their work, which is fine. But, no one ended up coming to help me get my order for a loooong time. I wanted to listen to all the signs but no one was helping me so I just grabbed my order and left. This overall experience seriously makes me never want to go to...
