Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Town of Plattsburgh

The pizza is what you would expect but it's the customer service that's severely lacking here. I placed an order through the app and was sent several notifications that my order was accepted, being made, and was ready to be picked up.

I arrived at the restaurant and was told my order was never sent in, despite me having proof of it on the app. The cashiers were less than helpful and kept telling me no, I was wrong. They even paraded other staff members and cooks through the front, each of which told me nope, my order was never received or made. (Imagine how embarrassing it is to be told you're wrong by multiple people, despite having screenshots that told you your order was ready for pick up.)

Eventually, another customer intervened and explained that the computer system there doesn't work well with the app and that her order had been declined. Turns out, mine was too. (I can't help but wonder why another customer had to step in and assist me, rather than an actual team member?)

I then asked the cashier if I could place an order. Instead of being told yes, I was encouraged to use the app... which I was just told did not work. The cashier then told me that I could just go somewhere else. She continued to stand in the kitchen, away from the cash register, just staring at me. Eventually, someone else came out from the kitchen and kindly took my order.

Admittedly, we will not be going back. It's one thing for a restaurant's app not to work but, it's another when cashiers are rude, unkind, and treat customers as if they're being denied service. There are plenty of other pizza places in Plattsburgh. We'll be going to one of...

7/31/24-HAPPENED AGAIN, how funny, we ordered 2 pepperoni pizza and received 1 pepperoni and 1 cheese! They gave us the cheese for free, but it sucked and we had to wait around 10 minutes for them to make another pepperoni. Meanwhile, the other two that we did have are getting cold. Two times in a row this place has screwed up an online order that is totally unacceptable and incompetent.

Prior screw up: Ordered mobile and got honey bbq when I ordered hot wings! FYI only a six year old would order bbq wings and they’re not old enough to order! I got robbed! And a large pizza is literally 14 inches. That’s the smallest large pizza I’ve ever seen in my life for 20 + bucks. Also, the “large” pizza is the smallest large pizza ever! My hand is 9” from pinky to thumb. See the pic, this large pizza is lucky to be 14”, ask subway what happens when products aren’t to size...

Our family usually goes out to pizza hut every couple weeks and usually everything is great including our waitress which is usually the same one. This time it was completely different including the waitress. We always order appetizers first then pizza and kids meals after. We had to send one of the kids meals back that came out with our appetizers. And then within 2 minutes of sending it back, it came back out with our pizza and other kids meal. We didn't even have time to eat one of our wings that we had for appetizers. Our table of was crammed full of food all at once which wasn't how we ordered it! The waitress said ,sorry but that's how the cooks are sending the stuff out. We were so upset we asked for to go boxes and just left. Big disappointment!
