This review was a bit of a struggle as to whether I reviewed this restaurant or not. The reason being is that the operations of the chain reflect the religious values of Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer S. Truett Cathy, whose biography notes that he has “built his life and business based on hard work, humility and biblical principles” and that “based on these principles, all of Chick-fil-A’s restaurants operate with a ‘Closed-on-Sunday’ policy, without exception.” Generally I don't have issues with anyones religious beliefs but it should be noted that the founder also has a strong homophobic bend too. That's what makes me a little less interested in giving them any review at all. So I am going review on the idea that the employees don't hold these same values and that individual franchisees are more likely to have a different view. It's really quite a shame that any restaurant should ever cause me to pause before reviewing. Even more a shame, is that the food at Chick-fil-A is quite decent and I like to think that doesn't really have anything to do with religion. I love the whole pieces of chicken deep fried to perfection, savory and moist. I like, but not love, their waffle fries. I think they do an very tasty milkshake. Overall the experience is good, friendly employees, good food, decent prices lots of loyalty rewards available with their app of you eat there often enough you will earn some free food. So if you aren't outright boycotting the franchise, then go and enjoy. If you feel their anti LGBTQ stance is a really stumbling block then by all means avoid eating here, there are enough other choices out there that don't force you to question your morals before you tuck in. Best I can do is 4 stars, when otherwise I might...
Read moreI’ve been to this location a bit since it opened in Plattsburgh. Today, I had a pretty annoying experience. I went through the drive thru and a young man named Dean took my order. I ordered one 4 piece chicken strip meal then asked him to please give me one minute. No problem everything is good. I then was ready to complete my order. I added a chick fil a chicken sandwich, just the sandwich. No one said anything over the speaker. So, I sat there a couple seconds until I literally yelled his name. Still nothing. Then some more time goes by until he (Dean) comes back on the speaker asking if I would like anything else. I said, yes please the chick fil a chicken sandwich, just the sandwich. He then said, yeah I got that already. (Well thank you for answering me. Instead make me look and feel like a damn fool. Like say something.) after the chicken sandwich I ordered another 4 piece chicken strip meal. I received my food stuffed in one small bag. Upon pulling off I asked the passenger to please check our food and they gave us two 4 piece NUGGET meals instead. The line inside was backed up to the front door. I opted to go through the drive thru and waited another 5-7 minutes until I was able to get to the window. Apparently there was no communication in this establishment today (11/03/18 around 4pm) because when I got to the window, after explaining through the speaker what I needed (my 8 chicken strips instead of nuggets) the lady at the window had no clue what I was there for and still I had to wait at the window some time for my damn chicken strips.
Overall just annoying. I don’t know what was going on during this shift today, but the employees seemed to need some re training on...
Read moreI order a deluxe chicken sandwich and the only difference from the regular sandwich and this one is lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe cheese. Anyways that is what I had ordered and to dine in. First, they pack it to go and then gave it to someone else. Then when I got my food they accidentally gave me the regular sandwich. So I went to the counter and told the manager Stephen. Stephen was also the person who took my order. He says he's checking my order I said okay. You can see that he is irritated with me for even bringing it up. Then goes to that back an asks the staff to give him lettuce and tomatoes clearly annoyed, brings it to me then says this time it's free but next time I am going to have to charge you because you order the regular sandwich. I was annoyed at this point bc if it was wrong from the start then why wouldn't you say at first, not after everything and give it to me like you are doing me a favor for giving me one slice of tomato and lettuce. Overall Stephen seemed very annoyed about his job and made me feel uncomfortable even though it was his fault for putting it in the computer wrong, not mine. Why would I go through all that trouble for one slice of tomato and lettuce? Costumer suck at Plattsburgh...
