Wendy's — Restaurant in Town of Pomfret

Beautiful face lift, building and location looks great, but clearly there's still no care in the staff. Starting with the ladies bathroom... There was no liner in the flip top trash can (so who knows what nasty things are sitting in it that could be days/weeks old next to me while I use the facility) and the paper towels were put on top of the hands free dispenser (doesn't that totally defeat the purpose?). Continuing on to the dining area, there were basically no clean dining spaces (nothing short of surprising as it usually looks like this because college kids are sloppy and constantly pass thru, though I would expect the dining room should be wiped down every 15 mins if this is the case, I mean, I did work in a fast food location for my first job and I know it's completely possible at such locations). Also, food is going further down hill. Apparently Wendy's as a whole doesn't care. It's cheap food that used to be done well and taste good. It's lost that. My junior cheeseburger I get with tomatoes, but who wants the core of the tomato?! It's basically woody and sometimes sharp, so that's not pleasant. My chicken tenders were luke warm, and looked like they had sat in oil that was not at the correct temp, meaning they were just soaking up the grease. The soda dispenser is the newest version of the Coke freestyle machine, kinda cool, but def needed wiped down as being a touch screen it got greasy and gross quickly. Lastly, I went to grab my lid for my soda, which the bottom of the lid is the part I grab... So how many other fingers had been on that lid before I got to it... Just saying, it makes more sense to put these in the other way as the top is meant to be exposed. I know I shouldn't eat fast food as it's full of preservatives, it's made quick which means mostly fried, and soda isn't a great contributor to nutrition; however, I have a busy life and sometimes I have to eat quicker than preferred. Sorry Wendy's, you gotta step up...

My wife and I stopped Wendy's at a proximity 9:30 PM last night. We both ordered the single and salads. Her salad was the Caesar salad and my salad was a Cobb salad. We then sat down to watch a movie and began eating our food shortly after we started feeling nauseated. In today she is sick. I feel like it's food poisoning since I have run in the medical field. Diarrhea vomiting in nausea Cold sweats, dizziness and feeling weak in general. I'd called just a little while ago and spoke with a manager. Letting them know that their sales may be bad and to check them. She did not appear that she cared one bit about. Whether the food is good or bad and you was in a hurry to get off the phone. Just letting you guys know on this review to be mindful of what you order and if it's even good. Or not I will not be returning to this Wendy's. Oh, in one more saying, we waited for about 20 minutes for our food. Which wasn't that bad since we had nothing else to do. Anyway, then when we got our food, the lady working behind the counter gave us just our bag with the fries and burgers. We had to ask for our salads. Seems to me like they really don't know what they're doing. It Wendy's in Fredonia and it seems to me that they really don't know how serious food poisoning and the health of their customers should be. Food is always good here, although this place is still stuck in its 25 years ago decor. This place could use a huge remodel, and the dining area is quite large which kills the cooking staff tremendously. You'd think after so many years this place would have a bigger cooking area instead of the old hallway type working spaces. I worked here back in early 90's I've moved on to bigger and better things thought this place would catch up. Instead it stayed back where I last left it. Damn Wendy's, get modern already... Update as of 5-2018. I see Wendys doing a whole new building as they serve out of a food trailer til its complete. Hopefully they will be more modern as i stated earlier. Update as of 11-2018, the much needed improvements look great with dual drive thru. but i see people were complain how odd that the wait line is in the way of customers eating areas. Just awkward they forgot to see how lines of customers would appear in the blueprints. Perhaps shorten those tall table/bar/shelf looking things and try to allow customers to feel comfortable as they wait in line instead of people who ordered crossing those who are...
