Giacomo's Pizza Spackenkill — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

On 10/20/23 I ordered a pie and wings for pick up and arrived before the timeframe that was given me. I could smell that the pie was burnt once I put it in the car. I called once I got home to complain that my pie was burnt and whoever I spoke to said “I had to take another pie right then or receive first 10% then 15% off my next order.” When I refused I was told that he had to show the workers what they did wrong. I offered to take pictures of the burnt pie and send it because at this point I had already ordered food from somewhere else. He insisted that I receive another delivery of a pie or receive 20% off my next order. I suggested that they clean their ovens and was starting to get annoyed so I said fine to 20% off my next order but I won’t be ordering from them again.I’ve noticed that the quality of the food and customer service is going down while the prices are going up. I've been coming here for years, the pizza is fine but I'm done spending money here. Came in on a weekday. 4 workers there, and it was not busy at all. I ordered a pie, was told it would be 10 minutes. I said I'd wait for it with my young son, which I did. After 20 minutes or so of sitting right near these guys I asked about it, they said it wasn't done. After 10 more minutes I asked again. The guy said, can I help you? He'd just taken my order, and I sat right near these guys for a half hour. I said we've been waiting a half hour for the pizza I ordered from you, and I've been right here the whole time. He said, oh, and disappeared into the kitchen. Someone else came out and asked if I needed help. I again said I was waiting for a pizza. He said hang on. Returned with the cold pizza that had been done for awhile. These dudes just could not be bothered to tell me it was finished. They were too busy just hanging out and chatting behind the counter. Perhaps they were high....

The food is good. Don’t get me wrong. Tho every time I order from here there is a 1 and 3 chance they’ll mess up my order. When I call them. There’s always a young person answering the phone which is fine but I always feel like I’m getting corrected or made to feel uncomfortable if I order something that is not directly off there menu they way they have it. Like I can’t order my food the way I want it. Hard to explain. They’re nice but rude at the same time. (Answering people mainly the younger kids) Been ordering from here for five years since I moved to the area. This is my first time writing a review on this place just cause of the way I was made to feel when I made the order today. Called and cancelled as soon as I hung up the phone after feeling a certain way. Paid more else where for the same thing but was not given a hard time about my order and to me the extra money...
