Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

I cannot say enough about the wonderful people at NBC Poughkeepsie!!! I live 2.5 hours away and needed to order a cake for my daughter's birthday to be delivered to her at school. I called NBC and was lucky enough to have Max pick up the phone. We were on the phone for over 1 hour!!! He was soooo patient with all my questions and changes and crazy tangents -that by the end of the call not only did my daughter end up getting perhaps the best and most beautiful Birthday cake she has ever received, but I no joke wanted to adopt Max!!!! I am a super critical, detail oriented person and I was blown away by just how insanely nice these people were and how much they went out of their way to share with you - and in this case my daughter - their delicious cakes. Honestly, remembering this experience, all I can say is that everyone who owns a store of any kind, should call Max so he can teach you what excellent customer service looks like - and then you should enjoy some of...

This is the second, and last time I have gone to this location. I was told to mention that it was my birthday and Nothing Bundt Cakes would give me a free mini cake with my purchase. Today when I went in and asked for this deal this effeminate little guy behind the counter told me I couldn't get the deal because I hadn't signed up online. I tried explaining that I did, it wasn't my birthday- it was for my wife... Anyway the smarmy little dude 'Max' took so much self satisfaction that he would not honor my request, it was so embarrassing I just got my purchase and left. It's fine, you people just lost a customer. It probably doesn't matter because it's just a huge impersonal chain store, not a real bakery. In my opinion, try somewhere else. So rude, and for what? The teacher-themed bundt cakes that were donated were as delicious as they were beautiful! Everyone was extremely impressed and grateful!
