I stopped here on the way home from day surgery at Glens Falls Hospital. I arrived at 10:30 and wanted breakfast and they had just changed over to lunch menus. They accommodated my breakfast order. I ordered a sausage biscuit with cheese, a hash brown, and orange juice. My uncle wanted lunch and ordered a double cheeseburger. I had stopped ordering breakfast from my local McDonald's because the biscuits were always dry or stale and bagels burnt without the hollandaise sauce so since this was a different location I figured I'd give it a shot. I WAS SO IMPRESSED, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! My biscuit was fresh and perfectly baked, it was moist with a nice crisp outside and a softer inside. A perfect buttermilk biscuit. The sausage was fresh as well with no hard or overcooked parts or edges and there was a decent amount of cheese. It was put together nicely, meaning the sausage and cheese were actually centered on the biscuit so when you got it the cheese was on the sandwich and not stuck all over the wrapper. My hashbrown was cooked perfectly. It was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. My orange juice was also nice and cold. My uncle's burger was also on the bun and the cheese was on the sandwich and not all over the wrapper. He said there was a decent amount of ketchup, mustard & onions. He asked for no pickles. He said his burger was hot and juicy unlike our local McDonalds. So in the future if my uncle or I are craving McDonald's, I won't mind going the extra 25 miles or so to this particular location because the food was so much better than our local store. The only thing that was missing was salt on my hashbrowns but luckily I had a few packets in the glove box. This particular location was excellent and we got both breakfast & lunch, friendly & fast service,...
Read moreWe have tried both Saturday and Sunday to get a steak, egg and cheese bagel with an oj and a coke for breakfast. On Saturday the Exit 18 McDonald's crew took the order through the drive thru, we paid and at the next window we were given our drinks and asked to pull into drive thru spot 1. We did as asked and waited 10 minutes and watched as the crew would bring out the order in front of us and the two orders behind us. When my husband went in to get the food refunded, they hadn't even started our food portion of the order and gladly refunded. So we tried again on Sunday before going to church. We ordered the same meal as on Saturday. Two steak, egg and cheese bagels an oj and a coke. We paid got to the next window and received our food and drinks. We pulled away and started opening our bagel meal and they were sausage, both of them. The oj tasted watered down. That's not the first time for that. These people want to make twenty dollars an hour but they can't even get orders right. Maybe if management would put their phones down to train the people they would get things correct. If you really can't hear through the drive thru headset maybe it's time to get better headsets or learn to focus on the job in front of you instead of worrying about what is going on around you. I understand it is very busy there as it is just as busy at other fast...
Read moreI stopped at McDonald’s (Glens Falls NY) at exit 18 and had the worst experience ever. This morning it was busy and i went into the store to get breakfast for 3 to go. There were two people in front of me to order at the cash register. It took twelve minutes for the two of them to order, then the clerk left and I waited 21 minutes and they did not return. I asked an emoyee who was trying desperately not to look at us if someone was going to take our order. They said they didn’t know, maybe when it was less busy. Not a way to treat a customer. I then asked for the franchise owners phone number so I could advise them of the problems with service. I then met Megan, the assistant manager. She told me they were busy and told me I should have used a kiosk. I told her the cashier left with me at the front of the line. She did not care. I again asked for a phone number for the franchise owner and was told by Megan to Google it, she told me I should complain to corporate. I protested that she would not give me a number, as I had now waited 40 minutes and could not order. As I left in a huff, Megan shouted in front of the customers,” I guess we really suck”. These employees need to be replaced with AI if the can’t operate the restaurant correctly and deal with the public. Not a good look for McDonalds. 40+ minutes, no food,...
