I've tried SOOO many places here in NY trying to find a good pizza. Brooklyn, NYC, Bronx and now upstate. This is my first, and last, pizza place I will try.... I can tell you why... it's GREAT!!! I'm so spoiled by West Coast pizza but this was awesome. First off I'd like you to see the picture of the garlic knots. Oh, wait, there is no picture because I ate them ALL before I got home!!! I could not stop. BEST GARLIC KNOTS OF ALL TIME!!! I ordered a large vegetarian pizza and when I opened the box I thought uh-oh.... thin crust... but it's really not. It was the perfect crust.... not cracker crispy but chewy the way a crust should be.... and with every bite I was extremely happy!! The toppings were fresh and plentiful. I will definitely order this again. Though next time a meat lovers pizza. The Zeppoles Were a nice finishing touch. The bottom line.... I drive 8 miles and 25 minutes to Forgia pizza, I suggest you make the effort! It is truly worth your time!!! I will return. I'm looking forward to surfing their entire menu.... because hey, if I'm stuck here in this.... ummm, hamlet, I might as well eat the very best
2ND VISIT UPDATE: Ok.... I was almost hesitant to order the garlic knots again as I didn’t want to be disappointed, but I did and damnnnn if they still aren’t THE VERY BEST I’ve ever ever had! Again, gone before I arrived home. The meat lovers pizza with added heavy anchovies was almost completely destroyed as I could not stop enjoying it. I had the food baby from hell but enjoyed every minute!! Big fan!!! I’m going to try a few of their new pizzas next time.... they sound amazing too. Thank you Forgia pizza for making the weekend that fell apart soooooo...
Read moreWell, I wanted to like this place, but just didn't quite meet the basic standards of even pizzeria grade food, which it kind of is. Seems to be a small, popular spot. We ordered a large pizza, Margarita, along with a chicken cutlet Parmesan sandwich. We figured it was a good sampling to try the place out. Opinion on the pizza, it's not so thin crust. It was thicker and dense, soggy middle pie. Too much cheese and sauce ratios and after it cooled it got worse. Nothing eventful and honestly I was a little disappointed in the pizza and for the price. I mean, they have a wood-burning oven too so needing just a few basics to make pizza bake way better is there. Chicken cutlet sandwich was just a premade, food service type cutlet, I've had before and they're pretty easy to detect, if you know what you're eating. It was thin, but it was overcooked, also uneventful and sauce as well. That also very small portion for a sandwich at the charge of 14 bucks but for some odd reason, waiter overcharges check for the sandwich by another four bucks vs the menu, so I ask and he's like whatever, sorry. Just felt sketch and even so, we still left 20% tip. Seemed to me, he wasn't a new guy but anyhow, we'd never go back there, the food...
Read moreWent here on 12/6/2022 with my mom, aunt, and 2 of my cousins. We all dined in at the small dining room. my cousins were already there, waiting for us when we arrived. We were a party of 5 (originally going to be a party of 4, but cause i went.. yeah lol!) Luckily the server let us move. We got our drinks accordingly. i ordered a water with a coke, my aunt also, and my mom got a water. We were also given menus to decide what to order. They have a great selection of pizzas, pastas, and entrees. I ordered the Chicken Marsala with lingini pasta, my aunt also ordered the same thing, my mom ordered the feticine alfredo, my cousin ordered the special, and my other cousin ordered the chicken with garlic peppers. Must say, my food was very good! the chicken was tender. Even the leftovers were good, and most of the table took home leftovers. After food, we had zeples, which was good as well. Food did take a while to come out, but we were in no rush. We paid the bill, and went on our merry way. May...
