Title: Poor Communication and Rude Service at Bigby Coffee via Doordash
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
My recent experience with Bigby Coffee through Doordash left much to be desired. Although I placed an order for pickup, there were no explicit instructions indicating that customers needed to go inside the store. As a result, my party and I opted for the drive-thru, which unfortunately led to a disappointing encounter with a rude barista.
Upon arrival at the drive-thru, we were met with a less than welcoming attitude from the barista. They immediately chastised us for not going inside the store, seemingly disregarding the fact that there were no instructions specifying this requirement. I attempted to explain the situation, but our explanation was met with dismissiveness and a lack of understanding.
Effective communication is crucial in any customer-service interaction, and it was disheartening to experience such a breakdown in this regard. As customers, we rely on clear instructions to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience. Regrettably, this expectation was not met during our encounter with Bigby Coffee.
I sincerely hope that Bigby Coffee addresses this issue by providing clearer instructions to customers who place orders through Doordash. Additionally, I encourage them to remind their staff members of the importance of maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
This disappointing incident has left me hesitant to patronize Bigby Coffee in the future, as it undermines the overall customer experience. I hope that my feedback serves as constructive criticism, urging the establishment to improve their communication processes and prioritize excellent...
Read moreWe stopped because it was listed as dog friendly. However there were no tables outside and of course dogs are not allowed inside so that was a bit disappointing. Food and coffee were good. Service left much to be desired. I ordered and paid for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast bagels. After at least a 15 minute wait I was given 2 drinks and 1 bagel. When I said I had ordered 2, she argued with me. The other employee heard this and verified that I had indeed ordered and paid for 2. So about 5 minutes later she slaps another bagel in front of me….no sorry about the mix up or even here’s your other bagel. Just slaps it on the counter and walks away. During the wait time I observed another customer question his bill after receiving his order. The special that day was $2 off a Bragel with the purchase of coffee. He brought it to her attention that he did not receive the discount and was told it was too late to do anything. The transaction had already gone through. I have no reason to ever stop at this...
Read moreI have little interest in trying the drinks so I have no opinion on that. They’re probably pretty good.
The food is delicious — when they make your order correctly. It’s really a 50-50 shot whether you’re gonna get what you ordered, so I guess ask for a receipt. Just ordered bagels with bacon, the drive person double-checked, and then we still got sausage on all of them (and the wrong cheese). It’s like every other time I get my order messed up. I was going to complain that only children and stupid people work here, but my real issue is that y’all pay your employees EMBARRASSINGLY low wages. Maybe if they made enough to live comfortably, they’d be willing and able to consistently do their job well. The issues I’m having are likely a matter of most employees being insufficiently trained. To me, the store’s performance reflects more on the owner & corporate. So, you know, that’s one way you can stop people from leaving...
