Antigua Cafe? Let me tell you, hands down the best spot for Latin eats on Long Island. No fancy fuss, just darn good food that'll have your taste buds doing the salsa. You walk in and bam! The smell hits you - a mix of flavors that's like a one-way ticket to a Caribbean beach.
Now, I've been to my fair share of places, but these guys? They nail it. Arepas that make you question every other arepa you've ever had, and empanadas that are so good, they should be illegal. And don't get me started on their burritos(Way better than chipotle) and their Mofongo – a side dish so flavorful, it's like a party in your mouth.
But it ain't just the food, my friend. The service? Top-notch. Jose, his wife and their son are the friendliest I've ever met. Friendly faces that make you feel like you're chillin' at a friend's place. You got a question about what to order? They've got your back. They're the real deal – knowledgeable and all about making your visit feel like a fiesta.
And the vibe? Casual, like a hangout you never want to leave. You grab your quick bite, find a spot, and boom – you're in your own little Latin corner of Long Island. It's cozy, it's vibrant, and it's got that feel-good factor that keeps you coming back. Hang out at the bar, sit down and work on your laptop or just grab and go, they're good for everything.
So, next time you're looking for a Latin food fix, remember the name – Antigua Cafe. No frills, just darn good food, killer service, and an atmosphere that's pure Long Island. Trust me, you won't find a better spot for your Latin cravings in Long Island or...

Read moreMy girlfriend and I went in for lunch. I've been wanting to try them since they opened. I've heard good things. The place is really nice. They have a front seating area with tables, and a bar area towards the back. When we sat we were helped fairly quickly. The food came in a reasonable time. It was decent. The Shirley Fries were delicious with a lot of meat and cheese. The shredded beef burrito was okay. A lot of rice and not enough beef. But the taste was good. The real issue came after we received our food. We were not spoken to again forth remaining time we were there. We had planned on staying and having drinks after. We had to get up and fins someone to ask for the bill. We weren't asked how anything was, if we needed anything, more drinks, etc. We sat for a while waiting. After about 35+ minutes that's when we asked for the bill and left. It wasn't busy at all. And there were at least 5 people working. So I don't know what the issue was, but it became frustrating. So I don't know if I'd recommend it or if I'd go back. Hopefully this issue...
