Casa Dorado Deli Taqueria — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

I must have caught them on an off day because when I ate here, first of all the prices they charge were higher than listed on the menu... I told the cashier that the price I was being charged wasn't the same as the price on the menu, and the cashier just stared at me blankly and said that the price charged is how much it cost..... How is that not false advertising??

Then proceeded to wait about HALF AN HOUR for my food....

Then the tortillas, beans, and rice were poor quality or something because after eating my overpriced food, I started to feel sick... And being a Mexican food lover I was very surprised by this....

Would not come back here...

I stopped in today to try this new restaurant. There were so many things on the menu to choose from. I asked Mary who was behind the counter which tacos she would recommend. I tried the Asada and suadero. They were so fresh and delicious. I couldn’t even choose which one was my favorite. I wanted to try one of their homemade drinks. She explained each one and even gave me a sample to try. They were tamarind juice, horachata (rice milk) and hibiscus. They were all delicious. if you’re looking for friendly staff and extremely fresh food, I would highly recommend...

Prices are definitely family friendly, and the selection is a good spread. Came in assuming place will be average at best, and was slapped in the face with some really authentic Mexican food, tortas were on spot and, the nachos had that homemade seasoning on it, that's always hard to get but worth to chase. Beverages selection were filled with glass mexican bottles to accompany your selection. Definitely will be coming back and can't recommend the...
