I've been a regular at Shah's Halal Food Restaurant in Riverhead, New York, and each visit has been an absolute delight. The chicken over rice platter with assorted vegetables, topped with their delectable white and green sauces, is my go-to choice. The flavors are consistently outstanding, and the portion sizes are generous.In addition to their renowned platter, I've also relished their perfectly cooked juicy hamburger as well as their delicious chicken sandwishes, which never disappoint.

The menu variety caters to different cravings, ensuring there's something for everyone. One of the standout aspects of Shah's is their reasonable pricing. Despite the top-notch quality, the affordability is a refreshing surprise. It's a place where you can savor high-quality Halal food without breaking the bank.

The staff at Shah's deserves a special mention for their cheerful attitude. As a side mention, after I let them know that when I come by on my way home from work I'll always be ordering the same exact Chicken over Rice plater with vegies and white and green sauce. To my amazement, since then when I begin my entrance walk thru the vast dining area and up to the counter to order, they all smile and say, " We saw you enter so we quickly already created your favorite. Just go up to the register." Perfect every time!

They are always ready to help with recommendations and make you feel welcome. The overall atmosphere is inviting, and very clean, making it a pleasant dining experience. A family brand established in 2005. What had started in Queens, New York as a humble mobile food cart serving halal food opened its first brick and mortar location on Long Island. It quickly grew to a thriving chain of national and international fast, casual restaurants where 100 percent certified halal food is served daily, made with love and their family recipes in their USDA approved facility.

I’ve been to many other shahs halal location, this one in Riverhead is by far the best. It’s decent food at an affordable price 💰 It’s really clean, spacious, food is fresh, and staff are really friendly 😊 Jose and Jamshaid made sure everything was good 💯 The ambiance and how clean the restaurant is one thing to note 🧼 I came with family and was going to do take out, but I ended up staying and eating. If you ever near the area or shopping 🛍 at Tanger outlets, check it out. Dinning in is until 10pm. There aren’t that many halal spots out east so this one is a game changer. They do take out too and are open late. I hope the restaurant stays consistent in the food quality. Usually, at other shahs the white sauce is watered down or the chicken doesn’t have much flavor. Bad customer service. And saliva flying everywhere! Staff are laughing at us before getting our order (is it because we are minority)? We moved here a year ago from Queens where Halal food is popular. Shah’s was the best gift for us here in Riverhead, NY. The food was good but the staff could be rude: chatting, laughing hard etc. in front of the food. You can see their saliva. Today, the person who helped us barely put any meat or salad in our dish. This is not Shah’s best customer service.

But their food is good! Staff? No. Spit on your food? Worse. My wife and I were flabbergasted, that I walked away to avoid confrontation. I called later to complain to a manager, but the person was “giggling” before he spoke to me. He didn’t realized that I had a serious complaint. He didn’t address my issue.
