Zhu's Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Rotterdam

I pass this place quite often and said today was the day to try it.

Ordered online for pick up - chicken wings, shrimp shumai, crab Rangoon and a garden salad. I have been wanting chicken wings comparable to my favorite spot which closed down and I figured I'd give these a try. I have this obsession with Asian style (or Thai) wings with peanut sauce.

So let's start with the salad - the dressing is absolutely delicious. It's a ginger dressing but I swear it has a hint of pineapple in it. Either was it was most enjoyable and that was a good portion of salad. The container of dressing was perfect.

The crab Rangoon - tasty and had the perfect amount of filling also it wasn't too sweet the way some seem to be.

Shrimp shumai - fried to perfection with a nice dipping sauce.

And finally the wings. Now I had picked up the food but didn't go straight home however when I did finally get home and bit into a wing it STILL had this wonderful crunch. I dipped it in my peanut sauce and almost cried. I felt like I was eating what I was used to. The wings were tasty and crunchy - delicious.

I will no doubt go back for take home again but I kind of want to sit and dine since they do serve drinks and have a happy...

Very disappointed. They were very busy with takeout orders, so that might account for the food. I ordered Walnut Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, and an order of spring rolls. . I was told the order would take 20 to 25 minutes. It actually took 45 minutes, but, as I said, they were busy, so I wasn’t upset. When I got home, I was surprised to find some lukewarm spring rolls, but ok. The kicker though, was the walnut chicken. I got a container of lukewarm fried chicken chunks and a COLD container of the sauce that the chicken was supposed to be cooked in. It was like they pulled out some refrigerated chicken chunks and let them sit out while they were making the fried rice. So, basically I had to go home and cook it myself. I have made this dish before, but the reason I ordered the food in the first placed is that I was too damned tired to cook! I have never seen anything like that! and I won’t be...

On her 10th birthday, my daughter's dinner request was Chinese food. My father's current favorite place was closed, so I picked Zhu's, based on reviews, from the list of places in the area. I was overwhelmed by the amount of choice on the menu at first, but after tasting the food, I'm excited about the variety. I ordered the Bourbon chicken with pork fried rice, and we also ordered sesame chicken, beef with broccoli in brown sauce, and pork lo mein. Everything was delicious... I'm not ordering from anywhere else from now on! The Bourbon chicken was on point, and the portion was large, we all shared, and all agreed, Zhu's is the new favorite! The feel was comfortable inside the restaurant, and I made a mental note to take my daughters to eat there soon (they love boba tea, which Zhu's also serves).
