Heid's Sweet Treats — Restaurant in Town of Salina

Came in for a sweet treat tonight after we ate at Heid's. The ice cream parlor area wasn't open so we headed to the window. They have a good amount of ice cream and a couple options of soft serve. This ice cream is the same ice cream they serve at this local joint in Slyvan Beach that we just went to. I know it's going to be good. Shakes, sundaes and some other treats were also available!

I would totally give this joint 5 stars but the customer service really docked them. There were 2 girls working behind the window. Neither one of them were nice. You'd think working at an ice cream joint you'd have a fun personality, nope. It was a pretty cut and dry interaction with them. It's too bad, they were cute girls but their attitudes was so ugly.

I got myself a Jr sized chocolate and vanilla soft serve on a sugar cone. It was the perfect size for me! The soft serve was so good! The chocolate was chocolatey! I was still pretty full from dinner so it was hard working on the jr cone. My father in law got a small in a waffle cone and that baby was huge! He finished it like a champ.

I can see this joint being a lot of fun in the summer. Especially when the ice cream parlor officially opens. I had a really good cone from this joint. It could have been that much better if the staff was...

So we all know that Sweet Treats is known for the amazing Purple Zebra ice cream. A great combination of black raspberry ice cream twisted with soft serve vanilla custard.

It came to my attention recently that someone has taken this delightful treat and dipped it in peanut butter hard shell. For reference, the size featured in the picture is a junior.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this, but I figured I would just give it a try, and I'm very happy to report that this was a delightful treat.
