I found a great place for brunch today and am very satisfied in many ways! Here are my reasons:
Time Management + Customer Service: I believe the time it takes to be served after placing an order is crucial in any restaurant. I'm not suggesting service should be as quick as a fast food chain's, but I've often experienced extremely long waits, almost an hour, especially in diners during weekends. Since my visit was on a Sunday morning and the place was full of customers, I was concerned about a possible long wait. However, our welcoming server, Deanna, quickly took my order and kindly recommended options as I was contemplating among several choices. To my surprise, I received my food within 5 minutes. I was impressed and realized this efficiency was possible because all staff members were handling their responsibilities professionally and promptly. Therefore, I was very satisfied and wish to praise their professionalism.
Food: Naturally, food is also a crucial factor in evaluating restaurants. I tried the ‘Biscuit Bowl,’ which includes biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and bacon with a special sauce. It was delightful. The dish was neither too salty nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance. Several other menu items looked enticing, and I'm eager to try them next time.
Overall, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and to see everyone enjoying their meals. It's a joy to...
Read moreI LOVE MAGEES DINER AND HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS WITH MY FAMILY WE GO SHOPPING AT WATERLOO A LOT. ONLY THING I HAVEN'T BEEN THEIR IN 5 MONTHS BECAUSE BUSY AND VACATION. SO I STOPPED IN WITH MY MOM THE FIRST DAY WE WENT SHOPPING AND THE STAFF, AND WAITRESS ARE ALWAYS FANTASTIC. THEY ARE NOT THE ISSUE IT'S WHOEVER IS COOKING THE FOOD. I ORDERED THE PIG WINGS AND THEY WERE DEFIENTLY OVER FRIED AND THE BAKED BEANS WERE GREAT UNTIL I FOUND A LONG BLACK HAIR IN MY FOOD. I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST BAD EXSPERIENCE EVER. NOW I ORDERED CHICKEN PARMESON I BROUGHT UT HOME TO MY HUSBAND AND IT WAS WAY OVER FRIED AGAIN AND TASTED WEIRD AND ALSO ASKED THE COOK TO COOK THE NOODLES LONGER THEY DID BUT WE'RE STILL A LITTLE HARD AND NOODLES SHOULD BE SOFT. SECOND WE WENT GO EAT IT AND THEIR WAS A MOLDY STRAWBERRY IN THE SPAGHETTI SAUCE I ALMOST THREW UP. ALSO TASTING WEIRD. IT SEEMS THEIRS A COOK ISSUE AND A CLENLINESS ISSUE GOING ON AND CROSS CONTAMINATION AND SORRY BUT IF PEOPLE HAVE LONG HAIR THEY SHOULD BE WEARING MORE THAN A HAIR TIE BECAUSE THEIR HAIR IS IN THE FOOD. THIS REVIEW NEEDED BE WRITTEN BECAUSE NOW I WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR AWHILE BECAUSE I AM GROSSED OUT. YOU CAN GET SICK THAT WAY AND WHY IS IT...

When I walked in, I was greeted with a rousing good morning from behind the bar. Tables surrounded this tiny place and the bar sat in the center. The aromas of deliciousness wafted through the air. I knew I was in the right place.
I picked up the menu and looked for their house specialty. Then I saw it. The sever carried out this plate of heaven to another patron. I HAD TO HAVE THAT! I don't even know what I ordered but the first bite was like nothing I'd ever experienced. It was some version of eggs benedict and I didn't ask what it was. Now, eggs benedict usually takes four bites per English muffin but this one took six. Each bit was as good as the first until. I admit, it was gone. The home fries were great but nothing to hop around about.
As an author in town for a convention I found the place for the beginning of my next novel titled, right now, "Men...
