My family and I stumbled upon this gem last weekend, and it’s already become our go-to spot for pizza and Italian food. I'm thrilled to report that Carmelina in Smithtown has had a total glow up under new management, and it's like a pizza Cinderella story. Once upon a time, the pizza was overpriced and, let's be honest, not really the star of anyone's dinner table. But now? Same name, new owner, and a total pizza revolution.

What really makes them stand out is their use of halal chicken for their buffalo chicken pizza. Yes, you heard that right: a buffalo chicken pizza that's not just phenomenal in flavor tangy sauce, perfect cheese but also has this awesome sesame crust. As a sesame crust enthusiast, I'm basically in pizza heaven. It's quality ingredients all the way, and it doesn't leave you feeling like you've just eaten a brick.

WOW I am so impressed with Carmelina's!!! Carmelinas had their soft opening on Wednesday and I immediately noticed the attention to detail with this new restaurant. There are hand painted murals on the walls and a warm and welcoming atmosphere!! I spoke with the owners, who are very friendly, and they told me that they completely remodeled the restaurant and that they are excited to serve the Smithtown community.

Now lets get to the delicious food. Carmelinas menu includes everyones favorites. My friend and I got the plain slice and spinach ricotta slice. The ingredients on both slices were clearly high quality. After just one bite of the plain slice I could see the fresh seasonings in the sauce. The spinach slice had a light and airy crust.
