Smithtown Bagels Inc — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I just had the MOST PLEASANT experience at this bagel store.

First, the prices were so reasonable. The cost for two bagels and a cup of tuna was the same cost as one bagel at a place five minutes away. L

Second, the staff was soooo nice! Andrea (the blonde woman) was so sincere. She asked if we were staying, I told her we would eat some here and wrap the rest. She looked at my 1.5 year old in the stroller and asked, “Would you like me to cut her bagel into 4 slices? I’ll put it on a plate for her and the rest can stay wrapped.” Most people wouldn’t even put the thought into that, they would have just handed me a wrapped bagel and moved on. It made our life so much easier. She gave my baby a cookie and told us to go sit and she’ll bring the bagels out to us. I was nervous about wrangling my not even 1.5 year old in a new environment so the fact that she made life easier for me in the slightest made a huge difference.

I had other interactions after that with her and the other gentleman there, they interacted with my baby, they were just so lovely!!!!

This bagel store is a few minutes out of our way compared to others but I will be going here...

Been going here for years. This is my absolute go-to bagel place on LI. As a matter of fact, any time I show a non-native what LI bagels taste like, I bring them here.

The bagels are always super fresh. The sandwiches are delicious. The people working there are either family, or like family, as they communicate really well, and the whole thing runs like a well-oiled machine. Everyone is friendly, efficient at their jobs, and great to chat with when the line isn't super long. Love this place. And if they ask "salt peppa ketchup", ya gotta try it at least once.

Looking forward to going back again soon, this is absolutely the best bagel...

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here since I was in middle school and now bring my toddlers with me to have a great experience as well! Seth and Freddy are like family at this point. They are one of the only bagel places to make me an egg sandwich with bacon to my liking… brittle but not burnt! I grew up in Smithtown and moved near Stony Brook Village. I still make an attempt to stop by here for a delicious egg sandwich or bagel any change that I am in the area! I will also note that they make great pancakes for the kids too! Highly recommend. Very personable, friendly, clean...
