We came in last night and had a great experience thanks to Mike (I believe that’s the English version of his name, he is originally from Montenegro). It was busy, and we could tell that the staff was doing their best to accommodate the guests inside, outside and picking up. La Parm is a special place for my boyfriend and I because we had our first date here 3 years ago, and to this day, we still talk about the Buffalo calamari we had.
We hadn’t been here in a little while, but decided to come in last night. We had a glass of wine at the bar while waiting for a table. The staff was amazing at juggling tables and getting everyone what they needed. We didn’t mind waiting a little extra time for a table outside - we know it is tough during these times when staffing is low and it can be hard to find restaurant help. When we sat, we got a bottle of wine and placed our order, but it was nearing time to close. Mike was so kind and gracious, he offered to set us up outside with a private table before our food came, letting us enjoy the full moon. He was also great with recommending the perfect wine to go with my boyfriends pizza. It is service like this that truly makes a difference, and we don’t expect anything special, we just love the food!
We have both worked in the service industry and know how rough it can be dealing with customers, especially on a night when it’s low staffed and busy. We will continue to support La Parm and are so happy they are still thriving after a challenging year.
I hope management and the owners will see this and realize how lucky they are to have their restaurant running in the care of such genuine, hardworking and...
Read moreLooking for a hearty Italian meal with good wine, you likely will find it here. You can enjoy the upscale bar where wine is served in full mouth glasses which allows you to breathe in the aroma. They offer a traditional menu with everything your Bella Nonna may have made at home. For your Primo Corso, they make a spectacular Mozzarella Carozza or Coconut Shrimp. Two delectable choices among the many. Their veal dishes are always right. If you don't want the pasta do order the Veal Parmigiana Hero. You get a sizable portion of veal smothered in melted cheese and gravy. If you do want pasta, try their Veal Orecchiette Bolognese. Each "little ear" gets filled with ground veal, sauce, and peas. A delicious meal few can finish in one sitting! Another family favorite is their Broccoli Rabe with Sausage. Along with a nice Chianti and you are in Southern Italy instantly! And they have a robust red sauce (gravy) and served as a side with most entrees. For those seeking pizza, they have that too. And there are delicious desserts to try or take home. We are happy La Parmigiana continues in family hands. Nonna is...
Read moreI recently had an incredibly unpleasant experience at this restaurant, primarily due to Joe, the waiter. His customer service was abysmal. As a guest, I should never feel the stress of the staff, but Joe made it impossible to enjoy our meal. He was incredibly impolite, argumentative, and unprofessional. His only interaction with us was to take our order and drop off the food, with no regard for basic courtesy or service standards.
Additionally, I witnessed Joe treat the Hispanic staff with blatant disrespect and rudeness. It was clear that they were the ones doing the actual work, as they were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed. Frankly, they should be the waiters instead of Joe.
To make matters worse, the restaurant was out of salad upon our arrival, and it would have been considerate to inform us before we were seated. However, Joe showed no concern for this inconvenience.
Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience, and I hope the management takes action to improve their service and address the unacceptable behavior of...
