Golden Pear Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

Unfortunately I can’t speak to the food here as I left with a bad taste in my mouth before I had the chance to order something. I walked in and headed straight to the bathroom before I even looked at the menu. I had been shopping around and desperately needed to pee first. I was approached by a male employee who very publicly and rudely stated restrooms were for customers only. There is a kind way to say this; he did not take that approach with his tone at all. I found it presumptuous and odd to assume I wasn’t a future customer and to then go out of his way to scold me. It turned me off so much that I said “I’m leaving” and walked right out. Expensive - $91… for breakfast 2 x breakfast burrito 1 x small (cup) oatmeal 1 x cappuccino 1 x latte 1 x tea

Again I’ll start with the burrito they said was great, tasty but not huge cause we can’t usual finish anything in the US & they did The oatmeal with fruit again was oatmeal with fruit nothing more nothing less, nothing special

Now for me we can usually find a way to justify this cost but not here (other than the burrito was tasty) with the following issues -

self service not table service paper cups that you serve yourself (other than speciality coffee but still in paper cups) plastic knives & forks paper plates clear your own table

You do all your own service So you Q, buy, eat & clear all for the costly sum for 3 of $91 as you have to add service or you won’t get your food in an efficient time!!

Went there early in the morning, about two hours after they opened. Found two other older ladies there enjoying their breakfast and using their laptops to get some work done. Ordered a meal & coffee and worked on my laptop while eating my breakfast. As we were finishing up our breakfast, about 45 minutes in, the owner of the cafe approaches me and my friend to leave the establishment. When we inquired, he said that the limit for WiFi usage was only 25 minutes. We offered to switch to our mobile hotspot and even close our laptops and enjoy the rest of the meal, but he remained insistent that we needed to leave.
