The Suds Factory River Grill — Restaurant in Town of Van Buren

New to the area so trying out the local eateries. I ordered roast beef sliders with cheese sauce, no cheese sauce when it came out; my husband ordered a cheeseburger well done & it came out rare. Due to these issues we were comped a round of drinks. Food comes back out & halfway through eating my roast beef sliders I found hair, not human hair but like dust hair *possibly from equipment in kitchen. Also the waitress who was a little older was unprofessional, she came up to our table to vent about another table because their credit card didn't go through & she said I'm not stupid, if its declined it means no money. She gets a 2nd card from them & I overhear her call the manager/owner to say the credit card machine wasn't working, if that was me as a customer having your server assume I was broke or trying to dine & dash I'd been embarrassed. Ive been a server before I know it can get frustrating but her saying that to us as new customers was not acceptable. Also wherever the canned beverages are kept is not clean, both of the tops of the canned drinks I had were covered in black spots *my assumption is that it was dried feces/urine from mice as it was not dust & didn't just wipe away & working at a gas station before I know that cans get gross from being stored in warehouses . That was our 2nd visit there & we will not be returning because of that waitresses attitude towards other customers & the obvious lack of cleaning here. Also it was not that busy only a few tables & the waitress was turning down takeout orders because she was too busy with the lunch rush, therefore costing the business money. Ive also been a manager before & I would've fired her on the spot for acting how she did towards the other customers & denying orders because she's "too busy"...

We had out of town visitors from Buffalo who we planned on taking to lunch My husband and I had been here on one other occasion and the had a decent time with another couple We sat on the upper deck which was lovely and food was pretty good We decided to return due to closeness to our home and convenience for our guests we arrived and were told the only seating available was in lower level due to staffing and the upper deck was closed from my observation there were at least 5 waitresses and it was not busy the lower deck was gross , it was like a party bar, dirty tables, uncomfortable seats, smelled like dead fish and the sun was uncomfortably hot. I asked to speak to manager about the situation to see if we could change to the upper deck, it was a flat out no, he had absolutely no concern for the patrons , had no interest in even trying to please us, he was indifferent and rude two other couples arrived and one of them ended up leaving because of their desire to sit upstairs as well, they sat the other in the hot sun by the smelly river , they did not appear to be pleased either People are nice, they put up with it once but they won't return The waitress was very nice and there were no complaints about the food If you owned a business wouldn't you try your best to give your patrons the best spots to enjoy their meal and relaxing Sunday afternoon, don't count on it here, we will never return , the spirit of excellence is greatly lacking and it starts at...

I had a very bad experience here. I came in on Saturday 1/5/19 to bring my wife to a nice birthday lunch. We sat down and there were young kids running back and forth by our table screaming. The bartender came to our table to get our drink order and we ordered one adult beverage each. As we were looking at our menu and having our beverage, these kids kept running next to our table. The parents apparently had off that day while they drank their drinks and apparently the staff was ok with this as nothing was said to stop them. My wife and I have 3 young children and cannot believe that the parents would allow this. I am even more shocked that the establishment would not put an end to this. My wife and I decided to go down the road and have lunch at Lock 24 restaurant and had a nice meal and they were amazingly pleasant. I didn't really pay attention to my bill when I was signing off for my two small adult beverages but I just looked at my credit card bill and it was over $14.00 for the two small drinks that we had. I don't mind paying a little more but this is ridiculous for a place that we literally had leave because kids were running rampant. I am a local business owner and if I was in their shoes I would have taken care of the problem and put at least one drink on the house. I will not return and will make sure that if anyone asks....
