I was at this location 1 day after opening, and it was great! I gave it a 5 star rating. I went back on November 4th, and it was totally disappointing.
The service was awful. We sat probably 15-20 minutes before our server even came to our table to offer water, etc.
When he finally came, we ordered drinks and an appetizer. He came back with my iced tea - no straw, no spoon/stirrer, no sweetener, no lemon. The appetizer finally came out. No small plates were provided.
We ordered our meal - we both had fish and chips. The food finally came out on metal trays instead of plates. Instead of fries, we both requested mashed potatoes. We received one small scoop each-lol.
There were long lulls between everything, and the guy never came back to check on us. He kept disappearing. The place was not crowded. At the very beginning, I told him that I would be placing an order to go.
By the time he showed back up, we'd received boxes and boxed up our food to go.
I had had enough and was ready to pay and get out of there, but my friend wanted a pazookie. So I placed my to go order, and my friend ordered her dessert. Another long wait, and her pazookie came completely melted.
Finally got my to go order - shrimp scampi for my husband. Got home and saw that they had actually placed the French roll inside the container with the scampi. Who does that?
Throughout all of this, it was evident that the guy was often missing, and the so-called manager was aware. We could see her trying not to see us-lol. She never came over. Never said a word.
It was obvious on several occasions that we were looking around for our server. We even had a couple of other servers come over to us to see what we needed because they could see that we were looking for assistance.
I can't adequately explain how lousy the service was. But we left a $2.00 tip so that it would be clear to the server.
Texas Roadhouse is just up the street. So is Applebee's. And there is an excellent BJ in Modesto. There are too many options for...
Read moreJune 25 I want to bj for the very first time…. we walked up my children and myself received it and immediately as soon as we got in good start so we sat there for a good five minutes. Nobody came another 10 minutes. No one came 15minutes. Into our seeding, we had people that sat behind us came in already offered drinks and ordered then five minutes later another group came in see it next to us. They were offered drinks and had their order so I was already pissed already. my daughter grab a hold of the waiter and excuse me. We have been waiting here over 30 minutes already and nobody’s came to assist us so come to find out the hostess put us in tables area where there was nobody assigned to us this little girl on long braids I’m gonna say Caucasian the reason why I’m gonna say this I’ll make a point at the end, so I’ll wait there comes over his name is Charles wasn’t his fault. He said he apologize. They didn’t know he we were added to his section area so everything was going well with Charles then at the end of us prior leaving the guy the gentleman gave us our tab, so we didn’t know what to do so we got up and went to the hostess area to start to pay bill so we were standing around and then the hostess the one with the long braids I asked her what was our waiters name she said the white kid I just looked at her. I didn’t say anything. I said that was the rudest thing you could ever say because you’re exact replica of him and I just walked away. We paid our tab. I will never go back there ever again, and this was for my birthday we wanted to try this restaurant for the very first time I will never go back again, and that hostess would absolutely does not need to work there at all even my daughter said mom she doesn’t know how to do her job well keep in mind. This is my teenage daughter who noticed all this and kept me calm and collective and she’s the one that took care of everything else. My apologies I had no time to go recorrect if any mistakes...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience my group and I had at your Tracy restaurant on 02/17/2025 at 7:00 PM What should have been a pleasant dining experience turned into a frustrating ordeal due to poor management, lack of flexibility, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
We had made a reservation for six people, but upon arrival, we realized we were eight. We immediately asked if it was possible to adjust our seating, but rather than offering a reasonable solution, we were told that we had to give up our reservation entirely and wait 45 minutes for a new table.
We patiently waited for over an hour, despite noticing that there were multiple available tables that could have been easily joined to accommodate us. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, we were told that those tables were “taken out of the system,” and instead of assisting us, they made us wait another 45 minutes with no clear resolution. Only after we expressed our frustration did they finally do what could have been done from the very beginning—join the tables.
At no point did we feel like our time was valued, nor did we receive any genuine effort to accommodate us efficiently. Instead, it felt as though we were deliberately made to wait with no consideration for our patience or our plans. This was not just an inconvenience—it was a complete failure in customer service.
I am reaching out not just to express my disappointment, but to understand how BJ’s intends to address situations like this moving forward. Customers should not have to beg for basic service or feel ignored when reasonable solutions exist. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and provide a response explaining how such situations will be handled better in the future.
I look forward to hearing from...
