Coastal Crust got mixed reviews from my family, but to be fair, we’re all from Jersey. Pizza’s practically a religion up there, and this style of wood-fired pie isn’t everyone’s favorite. Personally, I lean toward thin crust, but I still appreciate other styles like this.
The pizza itself had solid flavor across the board. It was doughy in the center and well-done on the edges, which wasn’t my family’s thing, but I didn’t mind it. For reference, the one pizza in the photo looks burnt, but my dad specifically asked for it well done. The grandma pie was the standout for me, and I’d definitely come back just for a slice to give it another try. That said, I’m not convinced this pizza would hold up well for takeout—it’s one you want to eat fresh.
Surprisingly, the chicken parm sub stole the show. It could’ve used a touch more sauce, but the cutlet was perfectly cooked and impressively crispy without getting soggy. Maybe it was the break.. Easily one of the better parm sandwiches I’ve had since high school.
The atmosphere had a touch of elegance but felt a bit cramped, not ideal for larger groups. I liked the thoughtful touches like real silverware and the glass bottles for water service. One small hiccup: my glass had some debris in it, but the staff was quick to replace it.
Not sure if I will come back but I think they have some there here. Other reviews seem to point that I might have a similar experience...

When I called, I was told that the gluten free crust was as thick as their regular pizza. I posted pictures. I can literally see through the crust, y'all. And it's floppy and gross texture-wise.
We paid $82 for three GF and Vegan pizzas. Y'all. I paid $82 for crackers. The toppings are sad and lacking in portion size. They said they have kalamata olives, but they only have green and put GREEN olives on all three pizzas.
I mentioned and told the manager and he remade ONE pizza without the green olives. He didn't offer to give our money back. He didn't offer us anything or even an apology.
By the time the replacement pizza was done, the other pizzas were cold.
I'm so so so disappointed that I didn't directly ask for my money back and I wish I had been gutsy enough to tell them it was gross and that it was very...
