Well, let me tell you, folks, if you’re looking for a pizza place that feels as American as a bald eagle soaring over a football field on the Fourth of July, Pizza Inn in Travelers Rest, SC, is where you need to be! I walked in there, and it felt like stepping into a slice of patriotism, complete with a side of cheesy goodness that could make even the most hardened heart do a little jig.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza. Oh boy! This isn’t just any pizza; this is pizza that could make the Statue of Liberty shed a tear of joy! The crust is as crispy as my Uncle Bob’s jokes at Thanksgiving, and the cheese? Let’s just say if cheese were a stock, I’d be investing heavily. They’ve got toppings galore—pepperoni, sausage, veggies—you name it! It’s like a toppings party on a crusty dance floor, and everyone’s invited!
Service? Don’t get me started! The staff there is friendlier than a golden retriever puppy in a room full of kids. They greet you with smiles wider than the Mississippi River, and I half-expected one of them to say, “Make Pizza Great Again!” They’ll make sure your drink is filled faster than a Trump rally fills a stadium. And let’s be real, folks, nothing pairs with pizza better than a cold soda—just like nothing pairs better with America than freedom!
Now, if you think I’m done with the praise, hold your horses! The dessert pizza is like the fireworks at the end of a parade—totally worth the wait. It’s sweet, gooey, and oh-so-delicious. You take one bite, and suddenly you’re dreaming of apple pie and baseball games. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you want to stand up and salute the flag!
If you’re cruising through Travelers Rest and your stomach starts growling louder than a crowd at a Trump rally, make a pit stop at Pizza Inn. Trust me, you’ll leave feeling as full as a campaign bus after a rally! Go grab a slice of America, and remember, folks, pizza is always a...
Read moreMy family and I are frequent patrons at the pizza inn in travelers rest sc. We usually go on Sundays after church but on 3-30-25 we decided to eat at this restaurant the only difference is we had our wheelchair bound son with us but you didn't think it would be an issue considering there is a wheelchair bound young man that works as a greeter. While we were waiting to be seated a gentleman(who presume is the manager) approached us and stated he had to find someone to seat us. Mind you there are only around 3 tables seated at this point the rest of the tables were vacant. A male waiter whom we have been seated by before was passing by us and I kind of threw my hand up at him to get his attention to see if he could set us. And he said very rudely that it's usually a 15-minute wait time on Sunday and I just simply stated that we have never had to wait to be seated on Sunday he caught an instant attitude it said that we could not be seated in his section and left us standing in the middle of the floor with my son that's in a rather large wheelchair. Then who I assumed to be the manager told us that was limited seating for us that are only option was a specific area we were just completely dumbfounded because I don't understand what happened other than we were being discriminated against because we had somebody that was in a wheelchair. It was very upsetting to us add our son doesn't often go into restaurants to eat because he feels so uncomfortable so this was a horrible experience for him. And I can assure you we will...
Read moreWasn't impressed! We told the lady we were a party of 10 with some little kids. Mind you, the restaurant had ONLY ONE OTHER TABLE SEATED! She is like we will get a table ready and walked away. For 10 minutes go by, and another group walks in of 4, and the lady comes back up and takes them back and puts them at the tables they just put together that we thought was for our party. She seats them and then walked away. 4 people at a table for 10? I worked in the restaurant business, so i thought maybe they called ahead. Maybe they dont have enough servers to seat us. The lady walks by, does a few things, then comes back, and I say nicely, when do you think we will be seates? She points toward the table and is like, isn't that your group? Seriously, if we were a part of their group, don't you think we would have been standing anywhere remotely near them or at least followed them as they went to the table? They went to that table and asked them to move after they had already started eating even though they could have pulled a few other tables together elsewhere. During dinner, the server was gone most of the time. I couldn't request pizzas like at the pizza in in pickens, not a lot of selection for pizza or salad! Don't think I will be returning to this one and just sticking with the pickens pizza inn! So much selection for pizza...
