my order 🧾 bubbie’s garden: veggie cream cheese, cucumber, pickled red onion, pea shoots (I subbed plain cream cheese and added heirloom tomato) 🥯🥒🍅🌱🧅#traversecity #bagels #breakfast #michigan #vegetarian

As a first time visitor to Traverse City, this bagel shop came highly recommended! As I arrived around 9am on Saturday morning there was a line out the door. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes until I got up to the counter to order. After I ordered I only waited about 5 minutes for my bagels to be ready. They really had quick service which was awesome! The inside of the restaurant is small, making it tight when the line gets long and people are waiting for their food. The staff were super friendly and personable which really made the experience better. I ordered the nosh which I enjoyed! The bagel did eat a little tough and chewy in my opinion but the sandwich as a whole was tasty. They have a wide variety of bagels and cream cheese, making the menu diverse. I would return to this place to try another bagel sandwich in the future!

This place is great. I haven't been inside the location but ordered through Doordash last Sunday. Sunday is our bagels and lox tradition so we ordered they're version called “The Super Nova.” It was very good. The photo is the sandwich pulled in half because I prefer to eat mine that way but it is normally served as a sandwich. I especially enjoyed the sauce and the only reason I'm not giving a 5-star is that there was just too much of it. The salmon was silky and delicious. If you are in TC and need your bagels and lox fix, Bubbies is a great option.

Ugh, why do people keep going here? Is it possible they get repeat customers or is it just people that try it and never go back, like us? The Omelette Shoppe was full, we were hungry and the sandwiches looked interesting, so we tried it. I had the veg on sesame bagel and my husband had the cinnamon raisin with peanut butter. The prices were outrageous, the line moved exceptionally slow, service was rude and slow but we foolishly thought with the line, it must be worth it and we were very hungry. It was NOT worth the exorbitant prices, unfriendly staff or long wait! Both bagels were disgustingly salty!! How does that even happen, especially to a sweet bagel with peanut butter? We just ate the veg and peanut butter and threw away the rest of the gross bagels. We were so hangry after rude service, paying so much more than a usual bagel sandwich in other towns and waiting so long for that disaster of a meal. I can understand if it was a bad batch, but shame on you for still serving them! It is abundantly clear this place is just greedy, has no shame, standards or respect for customers. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn both that it probably only costs this place a dollar to actually make the gross salty veg bagel and 30 cents for the other salt bomb bagel and the people in the line before us were probably just employees making it look busy to attract other suckers like us. People, don’t keep indulging the greed and disrespect from this place! Tom’s East Bay bagels are pretty good as are the bagels at Big Apple...

We are visitors in the area and wanted fresh bagels so searched online and headed over. Oh 👏🏼 my👏🏼 gosh👏🏼!! First impression/thought: people swarm here because there’s a line. Second: what a cute atmosphere with very well thought of placement of tables and merchandise to ensure the line moves fast and efficiently. Third: I feel like this must be the happiest little bagel shop in the world because the staff is fun and engaging while still being very proficient. Seriously, this place works like clockwork. That’s all great, but what about the product? It’s grab and go, so be prepared for that. I had the Nosh on Parmesan black pepper, and I absolutely love that they use local bacon. (Support your small business community!) I promise I’m telling the truth when I tell you I looked at this sandwich and my mouth fell open. It was beautiful. The melted cheese strung across as I pulled the two halves of sandwich apart, I saw the crispy outing of the bagel with its moist, soft inside. There was plenty of thick cut bacon, cooked perfectly, not fatty at all. I tore a small piece of bagel off just to try it by itself and it was delicately crispy and chewy- the literal perfect bagel. The ratio to everything created deliciousness! No one in my party could eat more than half their sandwiches in one sitting, they were so big, so well worth the roughly $12 price tag per sandwich because it made 2 meals. We will definitely be going back to Bubbie’s Bagels...

I'm a new TC resident as of early spring 2024, and I'm also a seasoned bread baker and foodie. Most friends consider me a critic of local cuisine as well. But I have to say, this place is worthy of a 5 star review and could hold up to the likes of most notable big-city bagel shops.

As far as TC breakfasts go, it's one the few I would take time to cross town without question. Today, I stopped in late and there were just a few limited varieties left. I tried the seasonal Raspberry schmear on a a rye bagel and it may have been the best unique bagel/cheese combinations I've had in years. The combination of the savory rye and the lightly sweet and freshness of the locally picked raspberry was amazing. I also tried the whitefish schmear on a poppy seed which was also fantastic. The schmear could contend with some other local great restaurants serving their whitefish dips. A kiss of smoke, and a perfect balance of onion and veg with the fish.

Big shout out to the front-end person helping come up with my order even with the limited late-day selection. They were cheering me on while making perfect pairing recommendations. Felt like I had my own bagel solminer! They have a great diverse staff who are extremely friendly, charming, and so welcoming every time I come in. I highly recommend trying this place for breakfast or...
