I've half a mind to buy an RV and park it across the street just to eat here every day. Honestly was a wonderful, almost life changing experience for me and my friends here. We'd been hyped up for it because one of our friends had gone once and she'd been starstruck ever since and boy, she wasn't kidding. I wish I could just chef's kiss everything here from the architecture, the friendly staff with the coziest fall outfits and sweetest personalities, the amazing food, the impeccable timeliness of the online orders... simply wow. We got a pulled pork sandwich, a Korean Philly with melty cheese sauce, and the star of the show sammie - the roasted squash fall sandwich. Oh my god, I wish I could eat that for lunch every darn day. The medley of flavors, the flavorful goat cheese sauce, the warm psychic hug it gives you, the autumn vibes - just all around was our favorite sandwich. Truly a perfect creation. The signature salad was was amazing, amazing, amazing. Besides being utterly photogenic and gorgeous (colorful fresh greens, roasted veggies, and edible flowers), it was wonderfully filling and came with TWO amazing sauces (although the green goddess dressing took the crown) and is just the perfect salad. The other seasonal salad was like a fancier kind of Caesar, with crispy parmesan chips and roasted grapes that really elevated it. The hot apple cider was also very, very good (although a touch too sweet for me personally) and the sparkling syrup soda was wonderfully refreshing. Also, the ice cream - amazing. The winner was the golden milk sundae for us, with turmeric golden milk magic shell (soooo spicy-sweet addictive) and I think chewy gingersnap cookies. We had such an amazing time and bought two t-shirts and their homemade hot sauce to bring back to Washington with us, and were gifted many lovely free stickers as well. The staff were so, so friendly (lots of dog compliments and a free treat for our pupper) and just overall delightful human beings that truly deserve all the tips. Not to mention our online order was waiting for us PERFECTLY on time when we arrived, and I appreciate that punctuality very much. Just wow. Got to go every time I'm down in Oregon now- worth the drive, and can't wait to see their next...
Read moreUpdated review! Haven't been here in a while, especially since the lock-down started. Had some friends from out of town who wanted to see the gorge so we stopped.
They are doing such a good managing the restrictions imposed by our governor.
When we arrived, a young lady i believe named Alec was directing traffic, passing out disposable menus and explaining the current process. In spite of the heat and what had to be a very challenging job, she was super helpful and cheerful. She never seemed put out by our # of questions. Great Job!
The food was as good or better than I remembered. The waffle grilled cheese 🧀 is the best I've had in years. The potato salad is as good or better than Bunks. (Never thought I'd say that.) The Boston Cream pie 🥧 sundae was amazing.
Great job and place overall! Thank you for being open!
Been wanting to get across the city to try them since they opened. Finally a nice sunny afternoon with nothing to do, so we made the trip across town.
First, on a nice day with moderate traffic, the drive from the westside was only 45 minutes. They are close off the freeway so its fairly convenient if you're taking a trip.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the new tri-tip dip with cheese and peppers, the waffle grilled cheese with bacon, tomato soup, and a side of slaw. The dip was as good as any dip I've ever had. Tender beef, great roll, perfect amount of heat from the peppers, and the house made pickles were delicious. The slaw was lite and refreshing and th th pomegranate seeds were a great touch.
The grilled cheese was good. Texas toast grilled on a waffle iron. Great idea. The tomato soup was thick and tasty. Reminded me of Bunks.
Lastly the desert. Oh man, really good! I had the Sugarpine cone. A maple waffle cone, with butterscotch drizzled in it, their soft serve vanilla, with sprinkles and maple dust on top. Absolutely phenomenal.
My wife had the chocolate desert which I didn't try, but she said it was worth the drive for it alone.
Really enjoyed our trip out there. Will do it...
Read moreI'm conflicted on this one. The ice cream sundaes can match the hype and deliver some really unique flavors. The regular food and pricing leaves me disappointed. Our 1st visit was just for ice cream and we stuck to the suggested combos which included exotic flavors like black sesame and miso Carmel. The experience flavor wise was great! The price was as expected for a trendy new place a little higher than average. The pushy suggestion to add a 20% tip at a drive thru was annoying. The next visit, driven by my wifes obsession with the honeycomb ice cream topping, included food that was not memorable aside from being high priced and mildly disappointing compared to its description, but the ice cream delivered. The most resent stop included another stab at food my friends pulled pork sandwich was generous and reportedly tasty with a pickle spear and bag o chips it ran $18 with the now mandatory 20% tip. I ordered the "waffle" grilled cheese, but in my rush failed to read closely the description that is was not actually a waffle but merely white bread grilled in a waffle iron. Though the cheese was of good quality it was disappointing overall at $10.80 with mandatory tip. The ice cream sundaes were good, though I strayed from the suggested combos and found the miso Carmel tasted more or less just like regular Carmel. Perhaps it was the novelty of earlier visits or sticking to the suggested combos, but this time the ice cream was just so so for me. So my suggestion, go for the ice cream and stick to the suggested combos. The price is on the high side but no worse than Cold Stone and the flavors are more adult. As for the food, skip it. One final note on the mandatory tip. I recognize the owners desire to pay a better wage to their employees. If you can't do that with your current prices than raise them. Drive thru/ counter order self bussing establishments provide no special services that are...
