Saw this place on Instagram when it first opened and I have been wanting to try it. We went at 10pm (an hour before they closed) and they were fairly busy. We were able to put in our orders through a kiosk and did not have to wait long at all. We chose dine in and our churros were brought out within 10 minutes. There was a station near the front that had napkins, spoons, and forks we were able to easily grab for our dessert. When they came out they looked amazing! We got the pistachio raspberry and the gansito (chocolate filling with strawberries and meringue). Both tasted great but we were surprised when we cut into the pistachio raspberry churro it started leaking sweetened condensed milk and it tasted so good with the churro. The inside was decorated very beautifully and filled with historic Mexican art patterns including the chairs. Lots of picture friendly areas and lots of seating available. Even on the outside there's a window that's wide open that you can watch them make the churros. The staff were really nice and explained what each item had on it. We only got the churros this time since we were already stuffed from an earlier dinner but I would love to come back to try their gelato and...
Read moreLa Niña is a very cute churro spot in Troy. It’s in a convenient plaza with lots of parking.
There are two kiosks you place your order through and it’s very simple. They have lots of options for classic churros to churro bowls and gelato churro sandwiches. We got one classic, the Nutella filled, and another with sweet cream and strawberries. All were delicious but the sweet cream strawberry one was a bit too sweet. It is my only complaint about the food. We went at night but they also have lots of coffee and hot drink options.
The decor is beautiful and cool to have so many cultural pieces. They sell some local items. The only gripe I have about the logistics is there is a very small foyer to the entrance/exit and it is where the kiosks are. So you have to scooch around ordering customers in order to exit.
I would 100% come back for churros! Delicious, cute place. Glad to have...
Read moreThe churro with the hazelnut sounds and looks so good. Then again I do really enjoy custard too.
Grabbed the 15 small piece Mordiditas with chocolate and caramel and added Bavarian cream and Nutella, OJ and a small mint chip gelato abs a mug. $51.41
The small gelato is a huge paper cup, it's not too bad.
The fresh squeezed OJ is good and refreshing and lovely.
This place makes me feel like the girl on the wall by the archway, bright eyed and excited about the yummy churros and dips.
The small bites of Churros are nicely fried, slightly chewy and good coverage of cinnamon and sugar.
Good call on adding the caramel, Bavarian cream, Nutella dips. The chocolate is super runny and is quite messy and not the experience I would want. I was glad to get the small bites and dips instead of a 7" single Nutella. Better to...
