This place looked nice for breakfast. They were busy and we waited to be seated for 20 minutes. After sitting for about five minutes our waiter came over and took our drink order. Pleasant fellow and all smiles. After taking our order he came back a few times apologizing for the extended wait and refilled my daughter's hot chocolate and gave her a blueberry muffin on the house. We waited an hour and a half for our breakfast. Which my daughters came out first 2 minutes later my wifes and then 5 minutes later mine. All of the food was lukewarm at best. My wife got the Classic Benedict and the sauce was severely lemon flavored she does not care for lemon and this tasted like you were eating lemonheads and came with somes sort of lettuce not really a breakfast feel. My daughters french toast was so sweet it tasted like candy, she did not eat it. Mine was fine but somewhat cold, ordering the traditional breakfast. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast, not a big fan of the heavily seed laden toast. The bill was 53.77 plus a 20% tip. Would not recommend this place if you like traditional breakfasts and if you like reasonably priced breakfast. Also long cook times on your food and not coming out hot and together. The building was clean and the furnishings are nice plenty of sun with all the glass and steal...
Read moreOnce you have dined at the Big Beaver location, your expectations are high. I visited Maple road due to a power outage that was happening at the Big Beaver location. My exerience was sub par to say the least, thus I will not visit again. My server never came back to check on me until I flagged someone else down in the back. My entire order was messed up the first time around. I got things replaced, however, by the time the food came back it had been so long that I had lost my appetite. I ended up leaving my food. A friend of mine requested her potatoes to be cooked well, because they were not cooked thoroughly. When they came back, the potatoes were completely burned. They were burned black, and you can smell it as well. Like, who serves food like this? When I want a great breakfast, I'll just stick with Big Beaver moving forward. Not sure if they were just not used to the crowd, or if service is like this on a regular basis. I did hear a few say they were there because the lights were out at the other location. At the end of the day, even if you are moving slowly, you should still provide good service. In our case, our server didn't provide any service (until prompted by a team member... After we sat,...
Read moreI have been to other locations and have had great experiences in the past. But this location is terrible. First I walked in trying to get into the door with my daughter in a stroller. Once I struggled to get in the girl at the front desk said, “Oh I probably should have helped you”’ and continued to laugh. Then she seated me at a table. I asked to sit at a booth so it would be more comfortable to feed my daughter while I waited for my food. And she totally ignored me and took me to another table. As I waited to get my food I used the restroom with my daughter. It was dirty and the toilet would not flush. The baby changing table was gross and looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time. When I returned to my table I bumped into it with the stroller and a hot sauce bottle flew off. I apologized to the buser boy. Both he just stared at me with a look of death, it was terrifying and uncomfortable. It was an accident. My server was okay, but not friendly. Asked me if I needed anything else and threw the bill on the table. Not to mention it was the wrong bill. I ordered the chicken pesto bowel. It came out fast and hot. It was good. But a really small portion. I will not be returning to...
