Walked in at 12:15 today and proceeded to have the worst lunch experience ever. Felt incredibly unwelcome.
While I was talking to the hostess, my mom kind of wandered into the dining area because she was hoping to sit somewhere with natural light and wanted to see the seating and I guess the hostess thought she was going to seat herself?? At this point, WE were still being polite, but the hostess caught the biggest attitude and started talking to my mom like she was a dumb kid, and it honestly all went downhill from there.
It was a 20 minute wait, so we were waiting to be seated and for the rest of our party to show up. While waiting, someone in our party with kids walked in. The hostess walked up and snapped that I told her we had one kid, but there were two. But what I actually told her was that we were a party of 8, but one was a toddler who needed a highchair. I gave no more detail than that.
I was very confused by her attitude and said, “yes, we have two kids, but we only need one highchair.” She said, “so you have TWO kids and SEVEN adults.” I very firmly said, “no, we have 8 people all together and one is a toddler.” She just…walked away without a word. I thought it was an issue with the highchair. I kept thinking why does it matter how many kids if they’re going to sit in regular chairs?
I didn’t realize until we got to our table that they wanted to set crayons out, but like, she could’ve just asked politely? Why be so rude about it? Why not USE YOUR WORDS AND EXPLAIN?
More than once, she came back where we were sitting, adjusting the blinds and muttering under her breath. After the second time, someone called her out on it and she snapped at them for that too.
She even got the server in on it because that was the worst service we’ve ever received. The server gave us like 30 secs to look at our menu before asking us if we were ready to order, she basically tossed the coasters, she literally only showed up to take our orders and drop things off.
After we got our starters, my mom said that she didn’t get her soup, so I got up to find our server—because she had done another disappearing act—and all I could find was…the hostess, lucky me. I asked her about the soup, she asked if it was a bowl or a cup, and I said a cup (because that’s what I assumed came with all the meals). She comes back with a bowl. No explanation.
A few mins later (while we’re still on starters), the server comes back and plops my mom’s meal down in front of her and walks away without a word. My mom tries calling her back, but she just continues walking.
We still don’t know for sure but kind of figured after a few mins that maybe the lunch special was a combo of the soup & the salad? That's why it was a bowl & didn't come at the same time as the rest of the starters. Maybe it was supposed to come at the same time as the salad.
But maybe they could've explained that? Instead of just plopping her food in front of her & walking away without a word? Now, she's got her lunch before everyone else & she just sat there while everyone else finished.
Two people ordered the brussel sprouts & they were burnt. Someone's chicken sandwich was burnt. Someone's steak was over. Someone in our party needed ketchup for her burger & we were nearly done eating by the time the server came to check on us, which she did by standing in the doorway & asking if we needed anything.
This was, by far, one of the worst experiences we've ever had in a restaurant. I don't know what the f**k crawled up that woman's a$$ that she thought it was okay to treat people the way she did & then turn an entire restaurant on us.
Our service was horrendous, our food was trash. We felt incredibly unwelcome. It’s not like we came here all the time, but we really enjoyed coming here whenever we did & this woman completely ruined it for no apparent reason.
All of this was completely uncalled for, completely unacceptable behavior. B/c my mom wandered into the dining room? Seriously? Longhorn really needs to think about whether they want to employ someone whose ego is...
Read moreMy first and last time at this location. My sister and I came because I heard they had lamb chops. I made a reservation so we were quickly seated but this is where it went downhill. We got seated across from the kitchen (that you could see basically the whole kitchen when they came in and out) this should've been my first sign to leave because that kitchen looked horrendous! The trash was past overflowing, the floors looked very dirty and everything just looked disheveled. It took about 15 min for them to bring bread out, so at that point we ordered some appetizers and 2 margaritas. The drinks came and she left the extra bit that was still in the shaker on the table so I could pour the rest in when it got low. We then put our order in (Still waiting on appetizers). I then took a sip of my drink and it tasted super watered down (I'm not a big drinker so I didn't mind it didn't have a strong alcohol taste) but didn't think anything about it. We get our entrees and THEN 10 min later they bring out the appetizers. We sent it back cause we already had our food. I ate my salad first before I started on the lamb chops. They looked absolutely delicious...until I bit into it. I always order meat medium-well and these were rare!! Upset at this, I asked for a manager. While waiting on the manager, we noticed the couple sitting behind us was talking to the waitress about their mixed drinks. She then came to our table and asked us if our drinks had any alcohol in them...I took a big sip of my drink and it dawned on me that there was no alcohol. I figured maybe it was watered down from the ice so we drank the remainder she left in the shaker and sure enough there was NO ALCOHOL in it. The manager finally came over and he agreed to make my food over and didn't charge us for the drinks and gave us a free dessert. Even that is not enough to make me return to...
Read moreToday we came for lunch and checked in about 12:17 pm. My daughter and I arrived first. While my daughter was talking to the host, which we witnessed no greeting none whatsoever, I walked few feet away into the restaurant and wondered why its so dark in their today. The host shouted at me so rudely and flipped out, I explained to her what I was doing but she gave me a dirty look and shook her head so disrespectfully. She asked how many people, we told her 6 adults, 2 children, one needing a highchair. When everyone arrived, she saw there were 2 children like we originally told her, she such had a problem and started arguing that we lied to her. When she led us to the table, the 6-year-old started running from excitement, she yelled at him so rudely in front of us. When we settled, I helped myself to the blinds in that space, she came right away and started closing the blinds mumbling under her breath. I asked if she was talking to us, she started arguing for and length and denied it. Shortly after, Laura, the manager came and told me that I asked to see her (that was a lie of course). The manager apologized. Of course, the waitress sided with her and was just as rude and dry, she came and threw the saucers on the table and gave us the most terrible service that you can imagine from food being late to not showing up to the table for other needs, like mustard and ketchup for the hamburgers. Of course my soup never came and I had to ask for it. I have never experienced this at any other restaurant before. These workers do not match this restaurant. We did like this place but after this horrible experience, they lost...
