I love all food from everywhere and I consider myself to be a foodie and a good one at that. I have driven many, many miles to enjoy a good plate of food and have no problem paying a hefty price for it as well. As for this place, I am disappointed and sad that I researched it, drove through horrible Michigan roads and traffic to be almost poisoned! I ordered a Pina Colada , which I have had in more then one Country. The worst I have ever had, it looked like a Lemon Meringue Pie. The drink had separated by the time the young man had walked the 10 ft to my table. Just the look of the textures in the glass made it unpalatable. Then their was the Salsa and Chips (only thing edible)... So next the meal, I ordered a simple plate. No frills or thrills, kept it basic. #18. Taco, Burrito (light red sauce) rice and SIDE of SOUR CREAM! I received a taco that when I picked it up (The Taco with the SIDE OF SOUR CREAM inside ) exploded in my hand and then melted to mush. Rice with depleted vegetables and a runny Burrito. My partner never received his rice and beans at all. I then asked for replacement taco and another drink because I was truly afraid of the first 3 the underage man had brought me. I then received a pale Margarita and one more taco. I took the plunge and attempted to eat the taco. Water or what I presumed was water ran out the bottom of the taco when I turned it sideways trying to eat. It surely wasn't meat flavor or spices because it had none, it was definitely H2O! Then the manager or who was represented as being the manager asked me if everything was ok? I explained what was going on and how the underage man should not be making drinks and the food was horrible. He gave us a 10% discount card for next time. lol I would never come back here and risk my life as a food patron again. You should be ashamed to call this authentic! Make the drive down to DIX street in Detroit and visit MI Pueblo's. That's authentic, people who care about the food and the patrons and can make an AWESOME...
Read moreMy friend Dell and I had lunch here and it was busy.. The food was delicious but the service was not the greatest.
As we were seated, the waiter gave us the menus, bought over the chips and salsa and walked away (I'm guessing to give us time to decide what we wanted to eat.)
We were snacking on the chips and salsa and waiting for the waiter to come back to take our order. He came back 20 minutes later and took our order and we requested more chips and salsa.
A different waiter bought us our drinks but no chips and salsa. We asked again when he walked by he said yes and we waited another 25 minutes. After over 40 minutes no food, no extra chips and salsa. We were patient though.
Finally our food came and 15 minutes afterwards he bought the chips and salsa.
When he brought over the checks I asked for (2) to go containers. He bought them over. I asked for 2 bags which I thought he would bring with the containers but didn't. We waited and waited. I saw him slowly cleaning a table as he kept looking up at me. He finished cleaning the table yet failed to bring us the bags. Another waiter walked by and I told him we've been waiting patiently for 2 bags to put our leftovers in. He bought us over 2 bags.
Upon checking out I told the manager that it was my first time at the restaurant and that the food was so delicious however our server wasn't the best and told him our experience. Manager said they were short staffed and he apologized and would talk to the waiter.
I told the Manager that I would not let my first time experience stop me from returning because the food was exceptionally good. He smiled and said thank you and we left.
This restaurant really does have delicious food. I would recommend this place. Hopefully, they'll have more staff...
Read moreNormally this is a go-to spot for a quick work lunch, however we were super disappointed with our experience today. The behavior we witnessed between staff members was not only grossly inappropriate, but absolutely gross in a restaurant.
We sat in our booth for about 20 minutes waiting to order, and started to look for our waitress. She and the manager were flirting, and touching each other very inappropriately in an empty booth. His hands were up her shirt at times and he even was licking her arms. She was touching him inappropriately as well.
When they realized we noticed them, they looked at us for a moment and then continued on with these actions until we had to get up to ask if we could order. We absolutely would have left, but was on a time crunch between meetings and did not have another option.
I had ordered a lunch combo with a bean and cheese taco and a bean and cheese burrito. When my food was served, the taco was made with ground beef. Since I am vegetarian, I asked if my food could be remade. They remade the taco, but put it back down on the same plate, so when my food was served back to me there was still a lot of ground beef from the incorrect taco mixed in with my rice. I did point this out to the manager, but he did not offer to do...
